Never thought when I joined the @BritishArmy I would be serving for so long.
I joined because I needed a job, had little hope and wanted to give my family a good life.
Still here 10,969 days later or 30 years and 12 days. Best decision I ever made.

Duty and remembrance went hand in hand today for the British Army’s youngest recruits.
#VEDay80 was more than a history lesson for personnel at the Army Foundation College in Harrogate, as they took time to reflect and connect with the past.

Huge congratulations to the Junior Soldiers of Cambrai and Waterloo on completing the first six weeks of their Basic Training today.
This is a key milestone for them, and the roars of emotion from reunited families is matched by their personal sense of achievement. Enjoy leave.

The @BritishArmy gets a lot of negativity & on occasion rightly so, but I can't tell you how amazing the Army network has been over the last few days. There are too many to list, but to each & every person who has reached out and checked that both my family & I are OK thank you.
We suddenly & heartbreakingly lost my father in law on the 10th of of April with me due to deploy on the 20th.
Things have been a nightmare.
The @BritishArmy MRTC team have been simply amazing in their support to my family & I.
I will be eternally grateful to them for their help

Today marks my final day @RMASandhurst & what a journey it has been. I have learned so much about myself personally and professionally & have worked with the best people you could ever wish to meet.
Thank you to everyone who has guided me on my journey.

Today is always the toughest day of the year for me, as it was the day we lost Jo. You were a rockstar in uniform and are always in my thoughts mate 💔 I will raise a glass in your memory today.

Happy 26th wedding anniversary to my beautiful wife Louise.
How she has put up with me for so long I will never know. Through good times & bad she has been a rock. Rarely in life do you meet someone so selfless & caring, which makes me eterneley grateful that she said I do ❤️
How is it 14 years already.
Rest in Peace Foxy, you were the best of us.
You were a tremendous soldier, impressive leader, fantastic engineer, great friend, cracking SNCO but principally just a top man.
I will be thinking of you, your family & friends today 💔

Mrs P and I had afternoon tea and a serious debate ensued.
When it comes to cream tea, what goes on your scone first?
Cream or jam? My view the whole point of cream tea is to have freshly-baked scones, with jam first & clotted cream on top.
She did not agree, who is right🤷
52%Jam first
33%Clotted cream first
15%It doesn't matter
