I saw a video of a widow explaining her frustrations in retrieving a meager N395k from her late husband's account.
Her husband died over a year ago.
My fellow Nigerian men, we need to talk.
If anything happens to you today, can your wife confidently say:
“I know the banks my husband uses.
I know where his important documents are.
I know about his investments, pension and insurance.
I know who to contact.”
If not, please read this below:
A woman losing her husband is already dealing with enough pain.
She shouldn't also have to start asking friends, relatives and colleagues whether they know where her husband kept his money.
“Which bank was he using?”
“Did he have another account?”
“He mentioned an investment somewhere, but where?”
“Where are the land documents?”
“Did he have insurance?”
These are questions that can become overwhelming when someone is already grieving.
Brothers, financial secrecy is not a legacy.
Sit down with your wife and explain the important parts of your financial life.
Let her know your banks, investments, pension arrangements, insurance policies, properties, major debts and where important documents can be found.
Prepare a will and keep relevant beneficiary information updated.
And please, this doesn't mean dropping your ATM PIN and every password in a WhatsApp message.
Keep sensitive information secure.
The goal is for your wife to know what exists, where the records are and how to begin the appropriate process if you're no longer around.
You worked hard for what you have.
Don't let poor preparation make it unnecessarily difficult for your wife and children to deal with what you leave behind.
Talk about money.
Organise your documents.
Plan your estate.
Protect your family.
I have written this thread on the assumption that a man will die before his wife.
Which for me, should be a good prayer for a man who married a good wife, like myself.
Being a responsible husband isn't only about providing for your family while you're here.
It's also about making sure they are not left confused and helpless when you're gone.
End.

Women are not built to lead. Never were.
Women are not built for leadership. Their psychology is shame-based, not guilt-based.
A man feels guilty when he does wrong even if nobody ever finds out. A woman only feels bad when she gets EXPOSED. One is internal morality. The other is external embarrassment.
That is not leadership. That is acting.
No accountability. No code. No spine. Just feelings, excuses, and moving the goalpost every 5 minutes depending on what benefits her.
You can't build a system on that. You can't build a country on that. You can't build a future on "I feel like..."
Facts don't care about feelings, but women do. You can show her proof, evidence, truth, logic, history - if it doesn't FEEL good she will reject it, attack you, and call you the problem.
Tell me how you build a civilization on that? You don't. It rots.
Men BUILD civilizations. Women birth the next generation INSIDE that civilization. That is the deal. That is biology. That is order.
When you flip it and let consumers run the factory, let feelings run logic, let the nurtured try to lead the builders - everything collapses.
Men lead. Women nurture. When you forget that, you don't get equality. You get extinction.
Hens don't crow at dawn. For a reason.

Just as I said yesterday.... if you have a serious relationship you wouldn't give out your contact to another guy.
Giving a man your number while you are married, or in a serious relationship, is the disrespect. Not his approach.
Men will walk up to you whether or not they see a ring. The approach is on him.
The moment you give him your contact, you have opened a door he had no right to. Then the chats start, and emotional cheating starts right there as you entertain his texts.
This goes both ways.
Where are you supposed to draw the line: the approach, or the number? Let your answer be the judge.

Your biggest enemy is not without. It is that which seeks to split your focus within.

Overfilling your fuel tank is one of the many seemingly harmless habits most drivers have that’s bad for your car.
Then again, with the price of petrol today, when was the last time you filled your gas tank?

Every human trades two limited resources: Time & Money.
When money is tight, you pay with your time.
When time is critical, you pay with your money.
The difference? Only one of them can be regained. Use the one you can’t replace wisely.
POV: It’s 2026 and politicians and their parties still think it’s wise to deface other people’s properties with hard-to-peel paper posters - all of this generates waste BTW.
We should ask ourselves: “What are we really doing letting people that do not think very far lead us?”
