Bookies can moan all they like but when you see the price for a horse that is clearly being withdrawn in the 4:15 at Newmarket contract. They are taking the piss.
To be fair, we all knew this was the case. I didn't need a jockey to confirm what we knew. We all had to wait for the 1:45 inspection, which was at the mercy of the elements. The track was given a chance and it worked. I think too much is being made of this issue.

Why is there an inspection? Answer: A patch of ground is worrying us at the half furlong pole.
Right, what's happened? Answer: After a downpour there is water lying on the track.
There have been drainage problems on track before. Is this linked? Answer: No. At least as far as we know.
What are the jockeys saying? Answer: Some are unsure if we should race or not. Some want to kick on.
What are the trainers saying? Answer: Most want to race but then that is always the case with trainers! They are not the ones riding.
What happens next? Answer: We are going to give it a period of time and see if the water seeps into the ground. The track team will use forks to speed up the process.
What possible issue could anyone have with the above? All simple and clear. Everyone knows what is going on.”

Hamilton Park does a great job and puts up excellent prize money but some of the field sizes this season have been poor. Tomorrow, one of it's richest meetings, and only one race has over 7 runners. Track deserves better.
Maybe a small yard but @K_scottracing is proving to have a couple of high class sprinters on her hands. Tremendous trainer and Group success is on the horizon.
The last recognised striker to score in a major championship for Scotland was McCoist at Euro 96, our only goal at that tournament. The last time we scored more than one goal in a match at majors was a 3-0 win v CIS at Euro 92. A dead rubber match for us. 1/2
Since Mexico 86, we've played 24 matches at majors. 4 wins, 5 draws and 15 defeats. 13 goals scored, 33 conceded. 3 of those 13 goals scored by strikers. We have a historic issue of a lack of proactive attacking football.

Great to be at Kelso today representing @RaceShare along with fellow owners to see Gibbs Island. It was tough going carrying top weight and the ground became very testing. There's more to come and he's still only a four year old.
