After 4 years and 5 seasons covering 64 LIV Golf tournaments (including Promotions events) across 32 cities in 12 countries on 5 continents, writing 200+ round recaps and even more previews and features, my time with the league – at least the 1.0 version – officially ends today. Despite the challenges and outside noise, it’s been an incredible journey. Extremely blessed to have covered some of the world’s best and most colorful golfers. And to work in the trenches as one of the biggest stories in any sport unfolded … well, to paraphrase a lyric from my fave band Oasis, “I’ve seen things they’ll never see.” A big thanks to all the players who put up with all my off-the-wall questions through the years, and also a shoutout to all the LIV Golf staffers, especially my fellow OGs who were there for Rd. 1 in London in 2022. Band of brothers & sisters indeed. Look forward to seeing how my next chapter unfolds. Hopefully, it's as exciting as the last one.

This morning’s @SpaceX launch (view from St. Augustine Beach here in Florida). Pretty spectacular.

Went to the range today at one of my local tracks, Saint Augustine Shores. A group of @SpecialOlympics golfers showed up for their weekly practice session. I watched for a few minutes. Very inspiring, very humbling … and a much-needed dose of perspective. For all the chaos and divisiveness and hostility in pro golf these last few years, it’s great to be reminded just how lucky we are to be involved in this game, and that people who are dealing with much bigger issues than most of us can ever imagine just want to learn how to sink a putt or hit a chip shot. Cheers to all the golfers and their coaches at the Shores!

Great to see @AdrianMeronk win at the Old Course. Always enjoyed my chats with him. Good guy to root for.
“It’s unreal to be honest. I never usually cry but this one feels special. I’m sorry, I’m just lost for words. It’s been quite a tough year for me and to win here after ten years since turning pro, it’s a dream come true. “After my drive on 18 I was quite happy with the position I was in and I was just trying to enjoy the walk. It’s an amazing walk when you cross the bridge, you look around and see the people and this history. “Actually, when I was crossing the bridge I was actually thinking about Tiger Woods and Jack Nicklaus walking on the bridge. It was a great feeling and I really enjoyed the walk.” An emotional Adrian Meronk reflects on his fifth DP World Tour win 💬 #DunhillLinks

And if you'd like to read my last story for LIV Golf 1.0, here you go. Wanted to find a way to spin forward. Luckily, young La Sasso provided the angle. livgolf.com/news/the-future-…

I asked a few players after Michael La Sasso's win Sunday in Indy if we had just witnessed the blossoming of a star. Said Brendan Steele: "Talent-wise, he's off the charts. He hits a long ways. He hits it solid. He can shape the ball. He can hit a bunch of flights. His short game is good. He hasn't putted the way he wanted this year, and he started working with a new putting coach, Eric Dietrich, last week, and just a couple things on setup and start line and all of a sudden he wins the tournament. Shows you how just little changes can make a huge difference. But he's 22 years old, and he's winning on one of the best tours in the world, beating some of the best players in the world. The sky's the limit." Said Laurie Canter (in his final group Sunday): "That was impressive. Yeah, I knew he was a good player, but he's had no form, and he's a killer, isn't he? He knows where it's going. I love it. I think he's great. I think he's going to be great for golf. I think he's a proper player. ... He's got loads of things he can improve in his game, but I liked his head space." Said Cameron Tringale: "He's a great talent, and I think today was him playing to how I think he expects himself to play, filling out the shoes a little bit. It was awesome to see. As someone who's been on his team all year, he's working hard, he's doing a lot of things right. So it's fun to see him get a good outcome. ... Just to be able to birdie the last hole to win a tournament like this with Jon Rahm chasing you, he kept his head, and obviously birdied the last for an unforgettable win." @HyFlyers_GC @OleMissMGolf

What they're saying about 22-year-old Michael La Sasso, the leader entering today's final round at #LIVGolf Indy: "He's a great kid. I've played with Michael a couple of times this year. You can see he's got a huge amount of talent. He's got a great future in front of him, wherever that future is. I'm sure he's going to be a star of the future." - Richard Bland "I find myself rooting a bit for La Sasso because I think he's a really funny kid. He's obviously adjusting to life as a pro, and I obviously want to beat him tomorrow, but I kind of look at him on the board thinking, 'Go on, keep it up.' ... He kind of reminds me of everyone when they come out from amateur golf and they kind of roar, and he's got a lot of amazing talent. He's figuring it out." - Laurie Canter

Six golfers have played every hole in every #LIVGolf stroke play tournament (Indy is No. 58) Three have individual wins: DJ, Garcia, Gooch. Other three: Bland, Poulter & Uihlein. Bland starts T2 today. At age 53, he could become the oldest winner on any non-senior elite tour.

22-year-old Michael La Sasso is making his 12th LIV Golf start (and 13th start overall as a pro) this week in Indy. I asked the 54-hole leader what a win today would mean in terms of his progress this season. @HyFlyers_GC
