I have been playing around with this trials finder a little and so far, I am impressed. We must find a better way to make it easier for physicians and other providers, as well as patients, to find trials and this is certainly a step in that direction. Check it out!

Flashback to 2019, when @shousri and I spoke at a @theNCI workshop about one of oncology’s hardest problems: clinical trial enrollment.
Today, I’m excited to announce @themednet TrialMatch—helping the right trials find the right patients.

I was impressed with @themednet's new AI tool. Preference for sources from high quality journals including guidelines, with additional tailored recs sourced from the extant expert content already present in Mednet. ✅✅✅ I'm a bit of an AI hater but thought this was useful.

🫘 Hats off to @themednet for a successful ACR JOURNAL CLUB ON LUPUS NEPHRITIS with rheumatologists and nephrologists nationwide!
❓ The most commonly viewed question was: "Would you use voclosporin or belimumab as adjunctive therapy for the treatment of lupus nephritis?"
themednet.org/question/9039?…
👩⚕️😷🥼👨⚕️If you are a physician, JOIN TheMedNet where you can ask your peers and key opinion leaders directly, the difficult, not-straightforward clinical questions:
themednet.org
TheMedNet learned that:
‼️ For proliferative lupus nephritis (LN) initial therapy, in combo with mycophenolate mofetil
👉34% of physicians prefer voclosporin (VOC)
👉48% prefer belimumab (BEL)
👉17% do not use BEL or VOC
👉30% use VOC and BEL concurrently (including me)
👉12% start with VOC then switch to BEL aiming for long term control
👉19% start with BEL then switch to VOC if remission was not met with BEL
If on VOC and in remission for 1-3 years:
58% taper off VOC
42% taper off steroids only

I'm still an X maximimalist, but wondering what physician specific social media platforms people are using currently?
What I've noticed:
- theMednet seems to be the best place to discuss cases with smart people
- Figure1 seems decent for interesting pictures, but seems to have somewhat lower quality of case discussions
- Doximity seems to be the best place to connect with someone directly compared to other platforms, but still seems to have limited use

Interesting read. We recently surveyed physicians on
@themednet. While 70% are not using AI clinically, 77% feel that AI will help them in the future- with decision-making, keeping up with data, & relieving administrative burdens, resulting in more time to spend with patients.
It can be hard for anyone to find words of compassion. But, for some doctors, a solution is to ask a chatbot for help.
