In 2007, Nicolas Cage bought a Tyrannosaurus bataar skull at an auction for $276,000. However, it was later revealed that the skull had been stolen from Mongolia, and Cage had to return it to the Mongolian government. Despite the fact that he bought it legally, he still hasn't received a refund for the purchase.
