no family wants an innocent women in jail and other babies harmed because measures were not put into place to improve training standards to prevent poor treatment
There is no connection between Letby and the Post Office Horizon scandal.
The law is based on trial by jury who heard all the evidence so just because you have a hunch does not mean Letby gets released.
Maybe think of the babies and their families. #lucyletby

One thing missing from my understanding of the trial is that I don't know how tasks are divided between the solicitor and the barrister. Or what those tasks are!

2/ The defence's problem was that Evans is a skilled con artist. The jury may have loved his absolute certainty.
No honest defence expert would have been so certain and would have been eviscerated under cross examination. The whole system is completely useless and needs replaced

I was able to show he earned between 80-150k per year from invoices between 2018 and 2021 while the police investigation was in train - more than half a million pounds.
I saw something recently saying he received over a quarter-million for 2022 alone

This review is long overdue.
Government should be deeply concerned about what families have experienced when systems designed to protect vulnerable people instead leave them traumatised, unheard and fighting for years.
That concern should extend beyond Hague cases. Mothers, fathers, children, elderly people and disabled people can all be profoundly affected when safeguarding, social care and justice systems fail.
The most vulnerable people in society should not have to be broken by the system before anyone finally asks what went wrong.

#lucyletby I've no Idea if she's guilty or innocent. We generally require evidence of a crime being committed for starters before throwing people in prison for the rest of their lives. They prosecution hadn't even established a crime occured.
there is enough reasonable doubt in a person serving 15 life sentences, that Justice dictates she is given a new trail.
& most LL supporters don’t say she is innocent but that she was not given a fair trail as per her Article 6 human rights

I said to another poster earlier on today that evidence was withheld. Those that see her as guilty base it on a flawed trial. I never saw her as guilty, but just a victim of a corrupt NHS cult, that's way out of control.

apparently he had a budget of £2Mil and back then experts were not lining up to defend her so it didn't stretch far, the prosecution had a bugger budget
plus he put in many evidence applications that were rejected by the biased judge goss
Imho, Ben Myers who is a KC, did a rotten job of defending Lucy Letby and I wouldn't trust him to represent anybody about an overdue library book!
He only called ONE witness to speak for Lucy, the hospital plumber! The CPS called dozens of witnesses, including six star "experts".
I don't blame the jury for the guilty verdict. Chief prosecutor Nick Johnson, also a KC, metaphorically carpet bombed the jury, ran a coach and horses over them, etc.
The re-trial will not be like that. Mark McDonald, (who is not a KC!), is assembling a vast army of professionals to fight for Lucy and many are not taking any payment for their service. They want her out of jail!

If there were air embolisms, large enough to cause fatal unresuscitatable collapses, they would have been blindingly obvious at post-mortem.
It certainly would NOT have required Forensic Pathologists to diagnose them.
how does Shoo Lee contradict the defence‘s medical expert panel evidence (plus C5 doc) that the babies did not die of an air embolism?

She has decided to jump on the Maltin PR bandwagon because “the nurses said Lucy was nice.” Which they didn’t, by the way. They said she was an oddball.
Now they’ve got themselves in a conundrum as their Messiah Shoo Lee contradicts everything Colin Ferguson (no experience with neonates) said last night.

Instead, we are funding a National Harm Service and being told to be grateful for it.
