Beaujon by @connordavenpo is here via #SharpTypeBeta! An homage to the great French printing types, Connor's sensitivity as a designer is clear in his work, which convincingly makes the argument that true aesthetic judgment only comes w/ a deep understanding of type history

I spelled January wrong. bookcoverreview.co.uk is now live! The first ten reviews are up, with more to follow in the coming days (which will be announced via @cover_review first). Enjoy!

E✨quisite use of Kink (2016)!
Today we publish Derek Jarman's only piece of narrative fiction, Through The Billboard Promised Land Without Ever Stopping. Written in 1971 it is a surreal, fabular, lyrical work – a literary fairytale acid-trip road movie hybrid – the energies of which influenced his later work.

In regards to the pre-modernist Grotesk this is ideologically more accurate than many «slick» revivals (no offence) — embracing cultural confusion, making the exception the norm and elevating indecisiveness to a conceptual level.
