POLLS CLOSE — As of 12 a.m. ET, polls have now closed in Hawaii and most of Alaska, leaving only a small portion of Alaska's Aleutian Islands open for another hour. One of the last major Senate battlegrounds is Alaska, where Democrat Mary Peltola is attempting to unseat Republican Senator Dan Sullivan. We're also watching Alaska's competitive governor race, another opportunity for Democrats to flip a Republican-held office. Alaska generally waits until the final polling places have closed before releasing its first results, so we'll likely have to wait until after 1 a.m. ET for a substantial initial statewide return.
