“Governor Seyi Makinde does not want Local Government Autonomy” - this is what APC bots will say. This is what Governor Seyi Makinde actually said about local government autonomy. Don’t fall for out-of-context video being circulated by the opposition propaganda machines.

Yesterday, I visited Bodija Market. It was more than an engagement; it was a return to my roots, as I visited with my wife, the shop where my mother sold elubo for many years. I also met with market leaders and traders, listening to their experiences, concerns and aspirations as we discussed the way forward. The visit continued with the commissioning of the fire station and fire truck facilitated by the late Hon. Akinremi Jagaban. A powerful reminder of his contribution to the community and the lasting impact of purposeful public service. I left Bodija reminded of where I come from and why service matters. To all the traders of Bodija, thank you for welcoming me. I look forward to continuing this conversation and working together for a better future. #BimboAdekanmbi2027 #Omituntun3.0 #Oyo #Oyostategovenor #APM

Kabiyesi oooo
Elevated, and moving AHEAD. With gratitude to Almighty Allah, I am deeply honoured to announce my elevation from Ekarun Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland to Ekerin Balogun Olubadan of Ibadanland. I sincerely thank His Imperial Majesty, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, Arusa I, the 44th Olubadan of Ibadanland, and members of the Olubadan Advisory Council for the trust, honour and confidence reposed in me through this elevation. I receive this new responsibility with humility, gratitude and a renewed commitment to serve with loyalty, dignity and respect. I was unable to personally attend the elevation ceremony at the Olubadan Palace, Oke-Aremo, Ibadan, as I am currently in the Holy Land performing Lesser Hajj (Umrah). I am grateful to Almighty Allah for the opportunity to seek His blessings and guidance at this important moment in my life and to offer prayers for Ibadanland, Oyo State and our people. I deeply appreciate everyone who represented me and everyone who attended the ceremony, including the Mogajis, His Royal Highnesses, Baales, my political colleagues and friends, led by the Director General of the All Progressives Congress Gubernatorial Campaign Council, Asiwaju Yemi Aderibigbe, as well as members of the Olofiere family, including Alhaji Abdullahi Abiola Alli, who stood in for me at the ceremony. Your presence, dignity, support and love carried me at a moment that means so much to me, and I am deeply grateful. A step up in rank is a step up in responsibility. In Ibadanland, honour comes with service, and progression comes with greater responsibility to the people. This elevation is therefore not simply a new title. It is a renewed call to serve, to listen, to unite and to contribute even more to the peace, progress and development of our people. I receive this honour as a responsibility from my people, and I am ready for the work ahead. Ibadan is moving. Oyo is moving. And together, we must keep moving AHEAD. The Oyo AHEAD vision is about a state that works, a people who prosper, communities that are strengthened, and a future we can all be proud to build together. I recommit myself to serving Ibadanland and Oyo State with humility, integrity, courage and an unwavering sense of duty. The elevation is an honour. The responsibility is ours. The work is ahead. And I am ready to serve. #BSA2027 #OyoAHEAD #ÌtayoÒyó

The only available information about Biodun Alli and Co is you bot accounts saying it was established 😂😂 Oriyomi has a better private sector legacy 😂😂
Before now, Sen. Sharafadeen Alli had already established himself in the legal profession. Back in 1987, He founded Biodun Alli & co.. and served as its Principal Partner. Ọ̀pọ̀ nǹkan ló ti ṣẹlẹ̀ ṣáájú ìṣèlú. Ẹ má jẹ́ ká gbàgbé ìtàn. #OyoAhead

The Business of Governance Newsletter No 146 | September 2026 2. Resetting Education “Nigeria cannot build a competitive economy without building its people. But before we can fix education, we have to be able to answer some basic questions.” “How many Nigerian children are out of school today? How many who enter Primary 1 complete basic education? Are children achieving the expected levels in reading and mathematics for their age? Are things getting better or worse? You might expect that in 2026, these questions would have simple, current answers.” They don’t. “Different official sources currently use different estimates of Nigeria’s out-of-school population, based on different datasets and definitions. And some of the latest national figures being used to describe what Nigerian children are actually learning still rely on assessments conducted in 2021 and 2022.” “That does not mean that no work is being done. But we cannot improve what we do not consistently measure.” “Our education system must do more than get children through the school gates. It must know where our children are, whether they remain in school and, most importantly, whether they are actually learning. Every child must count — and every child must be counted.” “In Oyo State, we have invested in education and taken steps to get more children into school and improve learning. But Oyo State still has out-of-school children. There is more work to do.” “That experience has reinforced something important for me: enrolment is not enough. Attendance is not enough. We must measure whether our children are learning and publish the results so that government can be held accountable for progress.” “The Reset Agenda will therefore look across the entire education system — foundational learning, access, teacher quality, curriculum, technical and vocational education, tertiary education, research, funding, measurement and accountability.” ~ Seyi Makinde

Governor Seyi Makinde has been intentional about governance in Oyo State. As a sub-national, Oyo state has been positioned for strategic development and opportunities way more than most states and even in some sectors, than the FG. It is time to scale this to 36 states. Let’s #RESET Nigeria.
Let me again thank our Deputy Governor, HE Abdulraheem Adebayo Lawal, who was the Acting Governor during my leave and our civil servants for their cooperation during this period. When I met with workers earlier today, I clarified the issue of the 55M Euros loan from the French Government which is meant to fund our healthcare initiative at an interest rate of 0.006% for 20 years. The fund was promised to Oyo State in 2019 right after I won the governorship election. The delay in releasing the fund was because the Federal Government requested that the money be shared among other States in Nigeria not just Oyo State. However, the French Government declined this request. As things stand, 35% of the money has already been converted to a grant. However, 70% of the fund will be paid directly to French companies by the French Government to supply medical equipment to our hospitals. I also empathised with workers who are going through a challenging time in the current economic climate and promised that we would reinstate the wage award to support them for another three months.

1. “We cannot vote Beulah Adeoye because his wife is Igbo” 2. “We regret voting Akeredolu because he has Igbo wife” 3. “Florence Ajimobi is holding down Ajimobi dynasty. She is our leader and deserves to take Oyo Ambassadorial slot” 4. “Why are you rolling out Adekanmbi’s wife CV, is she the one contesting?” Yeah, the first 3 statements and the contradicting 4th one came out from the same group of people. Retards. 😂😂 Attached video: Osun APC gubernatorial candidate kneeling for Oyetola’s wife. 😂

If you agree that the price of rice today increased in both amount and value compared to 2019, then why is Makinde trying to disprove that the value of allocation in 2026 did not increase despite increase in amount?

"It's a very challenging period economically. Truly, FAAC allocations have increased. When I came in, in 2019, the first salary I signed was N4.5B; today it's N18B. The N18k minimum wage in 2019 could buy more than N80k can today in 2026. That's the voodoo economics of President Tinubu." — Governor Seyi Makinde Says, as Oyo Govt extends wage award for three months, to continue transport subsidy on Omituntun buses
