๐ Waymoโs growth looks very different depending on which city youโre watching.
Weโve updated our analysis on @driverlessguy_, tracking Waymoโs rider-only miles across five cities through June 2026.
Rider-only miles = miles driven without a human driver. Weโve been tracking the data since mid-2024. Hereโs what stands out ๐
๐ Los Angeles and San Francisco are pulling ahead, each exceeding 15 million rider-only miles in the latest quarter. But growth has slowed, with Los Angeles at about 9% and San Francisco at 13% in Q2.
๐ต Phoenix still leads in cumulative miles, but its quarterly mileage has declined for two straight quarters.
๐ค ๐ Austinโs quarterly growth has slowed to just 4%, while Atlanta grew about 20%, the fastest of any market, though it remains small. Both are gaining share of Waymoโs overall mileage more slowly, something worth watching given that both are Waymo on Uber markets and the partnership appears to be on the outs.

โWe're adding over 100 restaurants every month. Next year, we actually plan to launch 20 metros across the US.โ
๐จ๐๏ธ The latest episode of @driverlessguy_ podcast is live. I had a great chat with @Keller, co-founder and CEO of @zipline, about how they built the world's largest autonomous logistics system.
A couple of points we discussed:
๐๐ How Walmart and restaurant partnerships are driving Ziplineโs U.S. growth
โ๏ธ๐ฆ How Ziplineโs aircraft and delivery droid work together
๐ค๐ Ziplineโs Uber Eats partnership and the goal of a million deliveries a day
๐๐ How a 10-mile delivery radius expands customer reach
๐ค๐ฒ How drones fit alongside human couriers and sidewalk robots
๐๏ธโก What it takes to bring Zipline to new cities

Anyone else see a reserve listed?
I get you were expecting this to be $1M+
But Claude should have had that published when you launched this.

Writing this in my personal capacity, but I have been flying these types of aircraft for more than 20 years, with over 8,000 hours, and have reasonable familiarity with how the charter world operates. I feel compelled to post after seeing commentary about the Lear 60 crash, from missile strikes to DEI to critiquing this poor womanโs final radio calls.
That last part is what I find most troubling. She was the second-in-command (SIC), and while she was empowered to point out mistakes as part of good crew resource management, she was doing her job, communicating with ATC right to the end in a terrifying situation. She likely knew before many of those calls that she was going to die. I have heard final calls from friends, from military pilots with thousands of hours in fighter aircraft, and they are just as heartbreaking because they know the end is approaching.
I understand the public interest given the footage and audio. But you do not know the aircraftโs maintenance history, whether there was a structural failure, if any failure was induced by turbulence, overspeed, or overcontrol, or everything happening in that cockpit. I am sure weather will be part of the investigation, but beyond that, it is speculation. The charter industry routinely hires commercial pilots very early in their careers to gain experience alongside an ATP-qualified captain before they move up to the airlines. She would still have the appropriate training, qualifications, and checkouts by an FAA examiner or designee.
Let people investigate, learn, and share the facts. Be respectful to those who perished and the families who carry their memories. God bless them and their loved ones.

๐จ @fetiiai hit #17 on the App Store!
๐ This past weekend was historic for Fetii. Groups across the nation relied on us to get around, guided by Fiora, our AI model trained directly on real-world Fetii group mobility data.
๐ We didn't just break our traffic records; we proved that group transportation + AI discovery is the most compelling growth flywheel in modern mobility
๐ฅ We are proud to share that Fetii was the highest ranked group mobility app on the App Store, leading the category and showing the industry what true disruption and growth looks like
๐ค๐ป An honor to share the leaderboards with powerhouses like Expedia, Hilton, Delta Air Lines, and Google who are also leaders in their respective travel categories
Execution at this scale doesn't happen by accident. Huge credit to our engineering and ops teams for handling peak demand without a hitch. Endless gratitude to @mcuban, @ycombinator, @GoodwaterCap, and every investor who saw the vision early. The foundation is set, now we accelerate. ๐

Keith Rabois should be inspirational to us all.
Only in America can you
1) be that fucking cognitively deficient and
2) still become a billionaire by getting a non-technical job at a tech startup and
3) use that resume logo to get better jobs and more money
4) become a VC
