Bored and waiting for election results? Upload all your election leaflets to this amazing database. #LocalElections2021
Good luck to all those out leafleting this morning. Remember to upload them to electionleaflets.org (maybe when sheltering from the rain this afternoon?)

Hold the press, electionleaflets.org is back! You can now photograph and upload your election leaflets, reports @PM_Keeling of @democlub. Uploaded leaflets form an archive of useful data used by academics, journalists, campaigners and investigators.

I'm so happy this site is back online! Please upload any leaflets you receive. Elections should not be won on lies, let's hold politicians to account for their promises! #democracy #LocalElections2021

This is the analysis we came here for 😎 Hopefully we'll be able to do a lot more of this with the archive at electionleaflets.org/ - please upload leaflets you get!

Time and time again large media organisations use the archive to write stories. They email requests like "Do you have leaflets for X person from X election please?" Loads of free content, with easy to write stories. All we ask is that they help the archive grow by linking to us

Rather than do that, the likes of the @BBCNews, @guardiannews and last week @GMB just write the story and expect our help next time around. They expect the archive to grow, despite not doing _the most basic thing of linking to it_.

Good news! An uploaded leaflet was used on TV by @GMB this morning! Bad news: They didn't give any form of credit or attribution, despite asking for it in email before hand.

Hey, @GMB, you could rectify this by asking your followers to upload leaflets to the site. This would help you cover more election leaflet stories in future, as we need the public to upload leaflets for the archive to work.

If you're not happy doing that, you're welcome to make a donation to the cost of running the site. I'm sure you take attribution (when asked to do so before hand) seriously, so this should be sorted quickly :)
