THOKOZANI. ๐ฏ๏ธ๐ฟ
BAZALI, PLEASE PRAY FOR YOUR CHILDREN WHO ARE ABOUT TO WRITE THEIR EXAMINATIONS.
As parents, we must understand that preparing a child for examinations is not only about buying stationery, making sure they study, and ensuring they get enough sleep. It is also about prayer, emotional support, protection, and creating a peaceful environment for them to succeed.
Ngoba phela, umntwana akakhuliswa ngokudla kuphela, ukhuliswa nangomthandazo, isiyalo nothando.
But let me make one thing clear: Prayer is not a replacement for studying. Your child must study, revise, ask questions, practise, and prepare. Pray for them while they do their part.
๐ฏ๏ธ 1. GET YOUR CHILD AN ORANGE CANDLE.
In some spiritual traditions, orange is associated with clarity, confidence, creativity, and the ability to move forward.
Light a candle as part of your prayer, where it is safe to do so, and pray for your child's concentration, understanding, confidence, and peace of mind.
Pray that when they enter that examination room, they remember what they have studied. Pray that fear does not overpower their preparation.
Umthandazo womzali uyigugu. Never underestimate the power of a parent who kneels down and calls upon God and their ancestors for their child's well-being.
๐ 2. HELP THEM RELAX.
Children carry pressure too. Some are afraid of disappointing their parents. Others are afraid of failing, repeating a grade, or being compared to their friends.
Make sure your child rests, eats properly, drinks water, and gets enough sleep.
you may prepare a gentle, child-safe herbal bath for relaxation, using ingredients known to be safe for their age. Avoid strong or unknown herbs, and never let a spiritual practice replace medical care when a child is unwell.
Sometimes, the child does not need another lecture. They need a parent who will hold their hand and say, "Ngiyakholwa ngawe, mntanami. You have prepared. Do your best."
๐ 3. BAZALI, TEACH YOUR CHILDREN TO BE CAREFUL WITH THEIR STATIONERY.
I know some people will disagree with me, but let us have this conversation.
Teach your children to look after their own books, pens, pencils, calculators, and other examination materials. Encourage them not to lend essential stationery when they need it themselves, especially during examinations.
In our traditional understanding, we know that not everyone who walks beside you carries the same intentions. Some people genuinely love you, while others may smile with you and secretly resent your progress.
Abantu abadala babethi, akusibo bonke abahamba nawe abafisa ukukubona ufika lapho uya khona.
However, let us also teach our children not to live in fear or suspect everyone around them. I know people who have borrowed they stationary and they were never the same after. Some people can give you a spiritual blockage, mental illness, or academic failure.
Protect your child's belongings, yes. Teach them boundaries, yes. But do not let fear become another burden they must carry into the examination room.
Their minds need peace, not paranoia.
๐๏ธ 4. BAZALI, BE CAREFUL ABOUT WHO YOU ALLOW TO PRAY OVER YOUR CHILD.
Now, this is where many people will disagree with Gogo Sifiso.
I respect prayer. I respect spiritual leaders. I respect the church, our traditional healers, and the different ways families seek spiritual guidance.
But hear me clearly: You do not have to surrender access to your child simply because someone says they want to pray for them.
You are allowed to say no to someone placing their hands on your child's forehead. You are allowed to pray for your own child. You are allowed to ask questions about any spiritual practice involving them.
Not every person who carries a Bible knows your child. Not every person who speaks about ancestors understands your family. And not everyone who calls themselves a spiritual leader deserves unrestricted access to your child's life.
Even in places where people gather to pray, boundaries still matter.
But let us be responsible with our teachings: a person touching a child's forehead does not, by itself, close their third eye or prove that they intend to harm them. Do not allow spiritual fear to rob your child of trust in every person around them.
Pray for your child. Protect your child. Teach your child discernment. And never be afraid to set boundaries, even with people you respect.
๐ฟ 5. LET US TALK ABOUT THE THINGS WE CANNOT ALWAYS SEE.
In our traditional understanding, we acknowledge that the world is not experienced only through what the physical eyes can see. We speak of the spiritual realm, ancestral protection, prayer, and the need to be discerning about the people we allow into our homes and lives.
But, Bazali, discernment must come with wisdom.
Do not turn every challenge into witchcraft. Do not teach your child that every classmate is an enemy or every person who smiles at them is hiding something evil.
Teach them to recognise unhealthy friendships, bullying, jealousy, manipulation, and peer pressure. Teach them that some battles require prayer, some require discipline, and others require a parent to intervene.
Akusiyo yonke impi elwiwa ngomthandazo kuphela; ezinye zilwiwa ngokuhlakanipha, ngeqiniso nangokuthatha izinyathelo ezifanele.
And when your child is struggling emotionally, mentally, or academically, do not rush to label them spiritually troubled. Listen to them. Support them. Seek appropriate professional help when necessary.
๐ฏ๏ธ 6. TO ALL THE CHILDREN WRITING MATRIC:
Nana, listen to Gogo.
Relax.
Pray.
Study.
Revise.
Rest.
Drink water.
Believe in the work you have put in.
Do not allow fear to convince you that you are going to fail before you have even opened your examination paper.
You do not need to compete with your friend's marks. You do not need to carry your family's entire future on your shoulders in one examination.
Yes, education can open doors. Yes, your family may be depending on you to build a better future. But remember that you are a child deserving of love whether you come home with distinctions or results that require another attempt.
Bazali, please do not make your children feel that their worth ends where their marks begin.
Pray for them to remember what they have studied. Pray for wisdom, calmness, discipline, and strength. And when they come home, give them a peaceful space to prepare for the next paper.
MATRICULANTS, MAY YOU WALK INTO THAT EXAMINATION ROOM WITH CONFIDENCE AND WALK OUT KNOWING THAT YOU GAVE IT YOUR BEST. ๐๐พ๐ฏ๏ธ
๐ฟ A MESSAGE FROM GOGO SIFISO
I also have herbal products intended for children's spiritual-care routines. Please ask about age suitability and ingredients before using any herbal product on a child.
Remember, Bazali: your child needs your prayers, your protection, your guidance, and your practical support.
Do not only pray that your child passes. Pray that they remain healthy, grounded, focused, and emotionally strong throughout the journey.
May God and Ancestors guide them. May their ancestors watch over them according to your family's beliefs. May wisdom lead them, discipline carry them, and peace accompany them.

The Medium๐ฟ๐๐พ
They say Sunday is for lovers. ๐ญโค๏ธ๐
Lovers are busy cuddling, going on dates, posting matching outfits and saying, โMy person.โ ๐ฅนโค๏ธ
Meanwhile, we people have our own plans! ๐๐๐
Sunday is for sleeping ๐ด, waking up to eat ๐, catching up on movies ๐ฌ, falling asleep halfway through the movie, waking up to eat again, then going back to sleep. ๐ญ๐ญ๐ญ Rest.
No stressing about who hasn't replied to your message. No wondering why someone is online but not texting you. No sharing your food. No fighting over the remote. ๐๐๐
Just you, your bed, your snacks, your blanket and absolute PEACE! ๐๐ค๐ฝ
Sunday is not loneliness, my darlings. It's a RESTORATION PROGRAMME! ๐ญ๐๐
I'm sleeping, and I don't entertain visitors during my healing hours. ๐๐๐โค๏ธ
I feel like lying on a hammock, letting the sun kiss my face while my eyes are closed. โ๏ธ๐๐ด
No calls, no responsibilities, no unnecessary conversations, no โcan I ask you something?โ ๐ญ๐
Just me, the breeze, the birds singing, and my body pretending it doesn't know the meaning of stress.
If you need me, please consult the sun. I'm currently unavailable. ๐โ๏ธ๐
Emotional intelligence has a way of sitting you down and saying, โMy child, you've done your part. Now it's time to choose yourself.โ ๐ฏ๏ธโค๏ธ
It has a way of telling you that you've cried enough, explained enough, waited enough, forgiven enough, and given enough chances to people who probably deserve an Oscar for the roles they've played in your life. ๐ญ๐
Emotional intelligence teaches you to be honest with yourself.
It's okay to admit that you are tired.
It's okay to admit that something is no longer working.
It's okay to admit that you have outgrown certain people, places, situations and even versions of yourself.
Sometimes healing begins the moment you stop lying to yourself about what is hurting you.
Enough now.
Enough overthinking.
Enough hoping for a miracle when the signs have been clear all along.
Enough waiting for a train that left the station while you were busy buying it snacks. ๐ญ๐๐
Enough pouring from an empty cup and wondering why you are emotionally exhausted.
Enough making yourself uncomfortable just to make everyone else comfortable.
Enough explaining your pain to people who are committed to misunderstanding you.
Enough being so afraid of hurting other people's feelings that you keep breaking your own heart.
sometimes you have to sit with yourself and ask, โAm I genuinely happy, or have I simply become comfortable with being unhappy?โ
That question will humble you. Because sometimes you are not staying because you love the situation anymore. You are staying because you are attached to the memories, the promises, the potential and the person you hoped someone would become.
But how long are you going to keep dating potential, raising grown people emotionally and working overtime in situations that don't even pay you in peace? ๐ญ๐
At some point, you must be honest with yourself.
You cannot keep asking for different results while repeatedly accepting the same treatment.
You cannot heal in the same environment that keeps reopening your wounds and then blame yourself for bleeding.
You cannot keep abandoning yourself to prove that you know how to love other people.
And you cannot keep postponing your happiness because you are waiting for someone else to get their life together.
Sometimes, the closure you are looking for is the decision you make to stop going back.
Sometimes, walking away is the answer.
Sometimes, silence is the answer.
Sometimes, accepting that it is what it is becomes the beginning of your freedom.
Not every ending needs a dramatic announcement. Sometimes you simply get tired, open your eyes, collect your dignity and decide, โHayi bo, angisakwazi. I have suffered enough in this department. Let me clock out!โ ๐ญ๐๐ฏ๏ธ
And please understand this: choosing yourself does not mean you hate anyone. It means you have finally realised that you are also someone you are responsible for loving.
You deserve to smile without pretending.
You deserve to sleep without replaying conversations in your head.
You deserve relationships where you don't have to beg for the bare minimum.
You deserve to laugh from your stomach, enjoy your own company and wake up without carrying yesterday's emotional baggage into today.
We underestimate the beauty of being genuinely happy.
We underestimate what it means to have a peaceful mind, a relaxed body, a clean space, good people around us and enough emotional strength to say, โThis is no longer for me.โ
Because when your heart is constantly unsettled, eventually your whole life begins to feel heavy.
As we prepare to enter 2027, please don't carry the same emotional baggage into another year simply because you are afraid of starting over.
Some of us need new goals.
Some of us need new environments.
Some of us need new habits.
Some of us need to stop entertaining certain people.
Some of us need to forgive ourselves for the time we wasted trying to make things work.
And some of us simply need to REST. ๐ญโค๏ธ
You don't have to figure everything
out today. You just have to be honest about what needs to change.
Set goals that protect your peace.
Learn to say NO without writing a whole paragraph explaining yourself.
Stop confusing suffering with loyalty.
Stop confusing access to you with love.
Stop thinking that walking away means you failed.
Sometimes, walking away means you finally understood the assignment.
And this time, let healing be more than a quote you post on Facebook. Let it show in your decisions, your boundaries, your habits, your relationships and the way you speak to yourself.
Heal.
Cleanse your space.
Pray.
Rest.
Laugh again.
Love again when you are ready.
Dream again.
Set new goals.
Find new reasons to be excited about life.
And most importantly, learn to recognise when it is time to leave.
You do not have to keep proving how much you can endure. Sometimes the greatest growth is realising that you no longer want to endure what you can simply walk away from.
As 2Pac would say, โIt's me against the world, baby.โ โค๏ธ
But this time, it's not you against the world.
IT'S YOU CHOOSING YOU. ๐ฅโจ
Ring that bell and announce your freedom! ๐
No more volunteering for emotional suffering.
No more renewing contracts with situations that expired years ago.
No more sacrificing your happiness to keep other people comfortable.
You have a life to live, a body to take care of, a heart to heal, money to make, goals to achieve and happiness to experience.
You cannot spend your entire life being everybody's emotional support system while your own soul is sending you resignation letters. ๐ญ๐
My child, it is time.
Choose yourself. Be honest with yourself. Walk away where necessary. Heal properly. Start again without apologising for wanting better.
Let 2027 meet a version of you who no longer negotiates their peace just to keep a seat at somebody else's table.
You have loved people.
You have tried.
You have waited.
You have prayed.
You have done your part.
Now do your part for YOU.
โค๏ธ LOVE YOURSELF.
๐ CHOOSE HAPPINESS.
๐ฏ๏ธ HEAL YOUR HEART.
๐ฟ CLEANSE YOUR SPACE.
๐ฏ SET NEW GOALS.
๐ BUILD A LIFE YOU DON'T NEED TO ESCAPE FROM.
And remember: you are allowed to outgrow what you once prayed for when you finally realise it is costing you your peace.
Chakra Hun Gogo Sifiso ๐ฅ
It's EVERYONE FOR THEMSELVES now. And yes, BE SELFISH! Without an apology, without guilt, and without explaining yourself to people who wouldn't do half of what you do for them.
Stop breaking your back for people who wouldn't lift a finger to save you. Stop pouring into people who watch you drown and still have the audacity to ask you for water. Stop expecting loyalty from people who only remember you exist when they need something.
PROTECT YOURSELF. Protect your peace, your heart, your money, your energy, and your sanity.
Learn to disappoint people before you disappoint yourself. Learn to say NO without writing a whole paragraph explaining why. Learn to walk away without begging anyone to understand you.
And please, for the love of your ancestors, STOP EXPECTING PEOPLE TO TREAT YOU THE WAY YOU TREAT THEM. That's where half your pain comes from.
Nobody owes you love. Nobody owes you loyalty. Nobody owes you the same energy you give them. People will do what benefits them, and some will sleep peacefully after destroying you.
Accept it. Adjust. Move accordingly.
You are not a rehabilitation centre for broken people. You are not a bank for struggling adults. You are not a 24-hour emergency service for people who disappear when it's your turn to need help.
NO ONE OWES YOU ANYTHING. NOT EVEN THE PEOPLE YOU'VE HELPED.
So help when you can, love when it's genuine, give when you have enough, and walk away when your presence is no longer valued.
This time, choose YOURSELF. Even if they call you selfish. Even if they call you heartless. Even if they say you've changed.
Of course you've changed! Life has shown you what happens when you keep putting yourself last.

THOKOZANI. ๐ฏ๏ธ๐ฟ
There are things we are taught by abantu abadala that you may not understand until you have walked a road yourself.
And let me say this again: witchcraft is real within many traditional belief systems. So is ancestral work. So are spiritual consequences. But not every problem is automatically witchcraft or an ancestor. Cases differ from person to person. Listen, observe, pray and seek the right guidance.
Here are a few teachings I want you to sit with:
1. THE HOME AFTER DEATH ๐ฏ๏ธ
If your parents were married and one parent passes away, and the surviving parent later has a boyfriend or girlfriend, be careful about telling that new partner, โThis house is also yours.โ
In some traditional understandings, words carry weight. You may unknowingly give someone spiritual permission to claim a space that was never theirs.
A home is not only bricks and walls. It carries history, bloodlines, marriage, children and ancestral connection.
Be careful with what you give people permission to claim.
2. GIRLFRIEND VS WIFE
If you are a girlfriend and your boyfriend passes away, traditionally there are certain things you should be very careful about doing especially things associated with the wife or the household of the deceased.
Even if you have children together, children do not automatically change every cultural position or ritual status.
Do not rush to perform wife duties simply because you were in a relationship.
There are reasons our elders had boundaries around these things.
Know your place before entering the spiritual responsibilities of another position.
3. WHEN SOMEONE DIES IN HOSPITAL ๐ฏ๏ธ
I know some families believe that when someone dies in hospital, you do not collect their spirit.
But in some traditions, the belief is different.
If your loved one has passed away, make sure there is a proper cultural process of bringing them home and acknowledging their passing.
Some people report dreams where the deceased says, โYou left me there. Come and fetch me.โ
Whether you understand this spiritually, symbolically or through grief, don't ignore what your family tradition teaches about death and bringing the deceased home.
Death happened in a hospital. But the person belonged to their home, their family and their people.
4. SECOND-HAND CARS & HOUSES ๐๐
When you buy a second-hand car, cleanse it according to your tradition.
You do not know the full history of that vehicle.
Who drove it?
What happened inside it?
What emotions were carried in it?
Was there an accident? A death? Violence? Trauma?
The same applies when buying a house.
Before you move your family into a new space, acknowledge the history of that space.
Do not only clean the floors.
Cleanse the energy according to your cultural practice too.
5. BE CAREFUL WITH THE GRAVE ๐ชฆ
Some people go to graves wanting revenge.
โGrandfather, deal with this person.โ
โMother, make them suffer.โ
But be careful.
In many traditions, the dead are not simply tools for our anger.
Some ancestors may have their own way of dealing with matters, and some people believe certain spirits can fight for themselves.
Do not turn a place of rest into a battlefield because you are angry.
6. WHEN A PERSON STARTS CHANGING ๐ฏ๏ธ
Some traditional communities understand certain mental or behavioural disturbances through a spiritual lens, including jealousy, ancestral conflict or harmful spiritual influence.
For example, when a child leaves home for university and suddenly experiences unexplained changes, some families may ask whether there is jealousy, spiritual conflict or an ancestral matter involved.
But listen carefully:
Not every mental-health problem is witchcraft.
A person can need a doctor, psychologist, psychiatrist, traditional healer โ or sometimes more than one form of support.
Cases differ.
Do not diagnose someone from a dream, a vision or one strange incident.
7. WHEN MOM AND DAD WERE NEVER MARRIED
Traditionally, family lines and
belonging are not always as simple as people think.
In some families, a child belongs primarily to the mother's side when the parents were never married. In other families, the paternal family may formally claim or receive the child according to their customs.
Do not assume every family follows the same rule.
Ask the elders. Know your lineage. Know where you come from.
8. NOT EVERY SPIRITUAL PROBLEM IS THE SAME
There are traditional beliefs about harmful or unsettled spirits that may require the intervention of an experienced igedla / traditional healer.
But please don't run from one healer to another collecting diagnoses.
Sometimes you need someone who understands the particular spiritual problem you are dealing with.
9. UNEXPLAINED THINGS IN YOUR YARD
If you wake up and find human faeces in your yard and you know there are no pets or ordinary explanation for it, PANIc because this can be isichito
And if it continues or you genuinely suspect deliberate harm, seek appropriate traditional guidance and consider ordinary explanations too.
10. KNOW HOW YOUR ANCESTORS CONNECT WITH YOU ๐ฟ
This one is very important.
Ancestors differ.
Some people feel spiritually comfortable consulting a Sangoma.
Others may connect more naturally through a psychic medium, prophet, elder or another spiritual practice.
That does not automatically mean one person is better than another.
Your spiritual connection may simply be different.
Sometimes you consult a Sangoma and leave thinking:
"Nothing connected with me."
That does not necessarily mean the Sangoma is fake.
It may mean that particular method, person or spiritual language was not how your ancestral connection chose to communicate with you.
Know your ancestors. Know your lineage. Know how your spirit communicates.
Our traditions are not something to play with.
But neither should they be used to frighten people into believing every problem is spiritual.

Listen to your body. Listen to your womb.

Sex is not only physical. In many traditional beliefs, intimacy is also an exchange of closeness, emotions, fluids and energy. That is why who you allow into your body matters.

It is part of your womanhood.

When people move from partner to partner without boundaries, they can carry emotional and spiritual beliefs about those encounters with them. And when partners are intimate with other people, there may also be physical consequences: infections, changes in vaginal discharge, irritation, discomfort, pain, urinary problems and changes in sexual response.
Your womb will tell you if your partner has been cheating. There will be Abnormal discharge, recurring UTIs, pain, unusual smells, painful periods, infections, isichito, bleeding out of now where and even struggle to reach climax.
So people put things ( muthi ) in private parts and that can affect you as well.

Your intimacy is not something to treat casually.
