Nature and Chinese classic poetry inspire me.

A few things that I made from scratch this month.
Cedar and beeswax have become the most divine scents for me.
So happy to finally have the proper sized tapers for this Dansk candle holder.
Too often, we chase success not for the success itself, but for how we imagine it will make us feel: fulfilled, free, happy, and so on.
We assume that when the success arrives, we will finally earn that feeling.
Then success arrives, but the feeling doesn’t.
Maybe we don’t become less ambitious as we get older. We just become more particular about what deserves our ambition.
The biggest unlock for me was to realize that a dream life doesn’t have to be the reward waiting at the end of a dream career. Focus on how you want your life to feel, not what you want to achieve.
Your life doesn’t need to make sense to others. It only needs to make sense to you. 🫶

👋 hey, it’s been years since I last posted.
not sure who is still here and this place feels familiar but also quite different.
Besides designing and raising a toddler, I’ve been slowly renovating this camp in the NH woods for the past 2+ years. Still working on the interior and the yard!
This process really taught me to be patient with building things in the speed of nature.
I now check back on X a bit more often to not feel *left behind* or “get cooked”? 😅
Anyway, I’m quite energized by this new phase of being a designer & maker.
Just want to say hello and see who is still around.
