Valve could also reduce scalper demand with a simple rough estimated availability time frame based on your position. Many people would just wait instead of buying from a scalper, if they knew how long they had to. Even if several months out.

There's common perception that millennials were irony-poisoned, but the generation was actually extremely earnest. Emo and indie rock were their favorite genres. They thought Obama and Kony 2012 would change the world. Zoomers are far more cynical about the world than millennials were at their age.

If the DLSS5 before-and-afters were from traditional texture upgrade mods, people would be slobbering over them. Never seen a mod criticized for a reason of artistic intent. But I think people hate the idea of it becoming the default more than anything though, which is fair.
