It's crazy to think how much this has deteriorated so quickly. Zary obviously has to take accountability, but the #Flames have really dropped the ball throughout it all too.

Look at the company Zary kept as a rookie. Three seasons under Ryan Huska, and his game has fallen off a cliff. Now he’s on waivers. That should scare the fuck out of anyone counting on Huska to develop Gridin, Suniev, Parekh and the next wave of young #Flames

This and the fact that he extended for three years only 13 months ago, the relyhas clearly fallen apart between club and player. #Flames

Here was Craig Conroy talking about Connor Zary heading into this season. He made it sound like this was going to be a big year. It’s odd for Zary to get put on waivers after 2 games. The relationship between Zary and the Flames must have gone sideways.

On September 6, 2025 Connor Zary signed a three-year contract extension worth $11.325 million. Today he was placed on waivers. How much is on the player for this situation? And how much is on the organisation? #Flames

Good thing we have Tsyplakov plugging spots on this roster. #Flames

34 points 🔥 Christina Julien led the Melbourne Ice Women in scoring during the 2025/26 Australian Women's Ice Hockey League season, finishing with 12 goals and 22 assists. A key contributor as Melbourne secured the bronze medal. 𝐇𝐄𝐑. 𝐆𝐀𝐌𝐄. 𝐍𝐎𝐖. 📷 Phil Taylor

Colorado, Anaheim, Vegas, Carolina and Minnesota is the next stretch of teams. #Flames looking down the barrel of a potential 0-9 start to the season.

Can the Knights hold out for another 40 minutes after this half? It's been all Roosters. #NRLGrandFinal

0-2 to start the season, I guess this is what we predicted and #Flames fans wanted to secure a top 3 pick. It's going to be an 84 game grind. #Flames

Another learning experience for Parekh there with the hit. He'll be better for it. #Flames

Gridin is such a baller, vision and skill is so good to watch. Can't wait to see him after 100 games in the NHL. #Flames

The @AIHL season showed what is possible when Australian hockey fans turn up in numbers. Now, imagine that same energy at @AWIHL games. Women’s hockey is growing, the talent is there, and the players are putting on a great product. It's simple: show up. 📸 Brittany Jackson
