I wrote a little bit about how to do deployment updates without serving errors in #Kubernetes.
Since I don't have a blog, I'll just tweet.
You have some pods, and maybe an load-balancer, too. You want to update the deployment. How to do this "best" in K8s today?

In this episode we speak to Maciej Rozacki and Wojciech Tyczyński from @GoogleCloudTech.
Google announced support for a whopping 65000 nodes on GKE for ML/AI. We spoke about the challenges they faced to get to this scale.

Half of this country is out of its goddamned mind.
One of us is wrong. I think it's you, but I hope it's me.
Taking a (very possibly permanent) break from Xitter. See you on the butterfly site.
I don't get the Jill Stein love. I mean, she's transparently campaigning for Trump to win. Trump will be worse in every possible way for the sorts of people who would vote for Stein.
It's the living embodiment of cutting off your nose despite your face. I just don't get it.

I'm super excited about my KubeCon NA "talk" -- we're going to play a game of Kubernetes "Family Feud" live and unscripted on the keynote stage.
For all of you who plan to sleep in on Friday, don't miss this!
It might work or it might flop - either way it will be hilarious!

It's always sad when someone you follow because they used to have awesome posts has gone down a weird rabbit-hole, and you don't want to follow.
Do you unfollow or just ignore?
Idea: get a cyber truck, and bolt a bunch of crap onto it and distress it to look like the millennium falcon.
It still wouldn't be a good car, but at least I could take "what a hunk of junk" as a compliment.
CEL is weird. Rather than some `if` construct:
if(test1, expr1, expr2) &&
if(test2, true3, false4)
or switch:
switch(input, cond1: (expr1), cond2: (expr2))
we end up with:
(!test1 || expr1) &&
(!test2 || expr2)
Takes some getting used to.
If your kid's $sport team is winning 15 goals to 0, and you still scream and cheer on every goal, you are kind of an asshole.

Whuuuuuuut is going on? Is this 1996?
My home PC is about 17 years old and you know what? It's fine. The only things I wish were better are more memory (maxed at 12 Gi) and boot from NVME.
It's an old Westmere class CPU with ECC, which, as far as I can tell, no desktops do anymore.
Maybe I'll hold it a bit longer

Ok, so now I am worried about it.
Real discussion in my house today:
Kid 1: I saw an ad for Trump today, talking about Malala.
Me: Do you mean Kamala?
Kid 2: Yeah, why would Trump be talking about a Disney princess?
Me: Do you mean Moana?
Kubernauts, I need your help!
