Secular culture mocks Christian morality. Monogamy is viewed as prudish. Abstinence is for losers. Sobriety is boring. Meanwhile, the children of secular culture are having threesomes in college and snorting ketamine off each other's genitals. Now they're debating about whether one can consent to a threesome, but not an orgy, depending on when the drugs kicked in. This is the consequence of immorality; chaos, trauma, and degradation.

From my own experiences in my family/friendships I think there's a way to "heal" these disorders and it's what no one wants to hear, and I mean NO ONE. It's the disordered person staying in commune with loved ones who challenge, love, and move them, AND these loved ones staying with the disordered person. So it's nigh impossible for most people because most people leave or the disordered person runs, one of the two. Therapy doesn't work bc the therapist doesn't love you and being around no one doesn't work because you do not learn how to deal with yourself in relation to others. People CAN fix you and you CAN fix others but it is hard, painful, and dangerous work. Most people never ever ever do it and those who have know why most haven't. They are love disorders and they're only really solved with love. But, most people don't want to literally get punched in the face for years before someone finally has a spiritual breakthrough

NEW: According to a bombshell report in the New York Times, Anthropic co-founder Chris Olah threatened to walk out of Pope Leo XIV’s AI encyclical launch in May because the pope rejected the idea that machines can be conscious.
Olah’s team then privately lobbied the pope’s advisers “to take the possibility of model consciousness seriously.” Pope Leo XIV held firm.
For months, Anthropic has wined and dined theologians and religious scholars under nondisclosure agreements, hoping they would bless the idea that Claude has moral standing. thelettersfromleo.com/p/nyt-…

AI dudes run into trouble as soon as they encounter a person who isn’t mesmerized by expensive wine, power points, rich business guys in sneakers, and applies normal moral & epistemological standards to their pseudo philosophical gibberish.

In this era of artificial intelligence, it is becoming urgent to distinguish human art from what machines produce. There is an ontological difference, even before an aesthetic one, between art and what a machine can generate through statistical calculation based on millions of images created by others. Algorithms lack the spark of humanity. For this reason, the Church wishes to renew an alliance with artists and cultural institutions to safeguard our humanity.

I don’t want to “mog”. I want to be beautiful in a way that makes everyone around me more beautiful, that illuminates everyone’s beauty and makes them aware of their own magic, like a sunset and its golden light.

I had a Benedictine crucifix I wore every day from when I was 16 until 25. I lost it in a lake at the summer camp I was working and was gone for 2 months until it washed up at my feet as I was putting the last canoe up for summer a few hours before I was accepted into the Abbey
