@CodeMensah applied to AyaVersity in 2022.
By 2025, the platform he built @LearnwayApp had 5,000+ users across 6 African countries.
This is the story of what compounds when you stay in the room. 🧵
Stablecoin payroll feels great, until your team scales.
→ At ten contractors, reconciliation is an afternoon
→ At a thousand, it's unsustainable
Why?
Because reconciliation is still a manual process.
Our latest article highlights the blockers, and how to fix them ↓
The work spans two physical hubs.
Accra and Kilifi. Roadshows across four countries.
Hackathons that seeded a movement (the African OnChain Collective). Pop-Up Cities that turned strangers into collaborators for years after they left.
None of it was inevitable. All of it was built.
The AyaVersity training pipeline: 7,000+ applicants across two cohorts.
112 graduates. 40% female average, 54% in Cohort 2.
The Kibera cohort took 12 young Kenyans with zero prior tech knowledge and ended with them shipping a digital voting system on Ethereum.

In the next 5–10 years, one of the most valuable human skills may not be thinking faster, but feeling deeper.
AI has only begun. Machines will increasingly handle logic, optimization, and computation. Our challenge is to remain fully human: to play, to create, to love, to laugh, to notice beauty, and to experience life beyond the walls of our own minds.
Become so good at something uniquely human that even those who disagree with you cannot ignore the value you create.
That is how we expand humanity’s imaginative possibilities and keep them in the value chain.
If love is among the most consequential principles in God’s architecture, why do humans still find it so easy to hate one another?
Perhaps the systems we inherit; from birth onward; teach us to think, compete, and protect ourselves long before they teach us to feel, connect, and belong.
So take a moment. Feel with your heart. Be human. Smile. Be curious. Create. Love boldly!
The world is beautiful, and your soul was never meant to live only inside your head.
With love ❤️ and gratitude 🙏 🦋🐆🦀🏹🌟

i've said this before but i'll say it again.
my mission and mandate is to get as many African founders funded before the end of November 2026.
for the last two months, i've been working alongside Launch Africa Ventures x Botswana Tech Fund as a preferred ecosystem partner, connecting founders to real capital.
Now I can add two more:
🤝 Hytel partnered to support African female founders building in tech. each selected business receives $5K to $10K in funding plus 400 hours of developer time. 5 to 10 founders will be selected for this first cohort. applications close June 1st. female founders, move now.
📡 Baobab Network in active conversations with Toby Hanington for pipeline and deal flow. more soon.
I am building the most intentional access infra on this continent and i need the right eyes on the right builders.
so,
if you're a founder or builder in tech, AI, or whatever you're creating and you're not in the African Founders Community yet... i genuinely don't know what you're waiting for.
if you're an investor whose interest is making a real difference in Africa by backing the next generation, DM me. we need to talk.

A thread on connection pooling, because it trips up almost every developer at some point:
Your database has a max connections limit. Your app spawns a new connection per request by default. Under load, you hit the limit and everything hangs.
Fix: use a connection pool (e.g., pgbouncer for Postgres, built-in pool for MongoDB). Set your pool size to roughly 2x your expected concurrent requests. Monitor pool exhaustion in your health check.
This is a 15-minute fix that prevents a class of outages.
