Our small rural club is through to the Mayo Senior Championship semi-final!
So proud of our players, our volunteers, and everyone who makes this community so special. Nights like this are what it’s all about.

Enda Hession on what a night like tonight means to his club.
“We’ve no primary school, shop, pub. There is nothing in Garrymore except a football pitch and we didn’t have that for all our history either. Lads used to train in a field, a few lads spent a night in a cell!”

Well done to all the boys and girls who played so well in the McCartan Cup and Heaney Shield last week. It was lovely for Mark Hession to raise the McCartan Cup on his 13th birthday. We're very grateful to coaches Fintan Hession, @tierneysarah, Brian Lynskey and Fintan Forde.
It’s such a honour to play for your county. I’m not buying the financial or study excuses mentioned here. 10 players walk away from Mayo at the end of 2023 and another 15 walk away at the end of 2024. The turnover of players is detrimental to the future of Mayo ladies football.
