Never one to follow a subtle agenda, Segal directs us to the key groups she sees as driving alleged antisemitism. Neo-nazis, you say? White supremacists? Racists who do Heil H*tler salutes and stand on the steps of NSW Parliament calling for the end of Jewish people and their deaths? Actual antisemites? Well no, not so much. Segal reassures us that: 'far-right antisemitism has not been the primary source of concern or anxiety to members of the Jewish community recently.' Okay then. I would have thought people threatening to kill me would be far more troubling than a person wearing a scarf or wanting an end to war in Palestine. But anyway, let's guess what Jillian claims is the main source? Yes, you guessed it. It is the fault of the far-left and modern progressives. In fact, Segal devotes 781 words and 5 footnotes to telling us how awful the progressives are but only 250 words and zero footnotes elaborating on the neo-Nazi, far right threat, an increase of 211% in the amount of analysis devoted to progressives. But perhaps people who spend time organising Marxist revolutionary agendas against the government just require more page space. .

Keen to keep flogging a dead horse, Segal then attempts to analyse the various differences between various alleged antisemitism - and her and her team's agenda becomes immediately apparent. Under the heading of, 'Far-left antisemitism or issue-motivated antisemitism', take this confused, unintelligible mixture of random words and phrases that lacks logical structure or meaning: 'This framing allows longstanding antisemitic motifs to be repackaged in the academic language of anti-racism, decolonisation, human rights, social justice and intersectionality, often in service of a traditional Marxist revolutionary agenda.' Sorry, what? People on the 'far-left' or people 'motivated by issues' (meaning, against the killing of babies) are guilty of servicing a Marxist revolutionary agenda ?!!? Good god, what sort of Sky-After-Dark, pearl-clutching, modern day McCarthy'ist hysterical garbage is that? Normal people who oppose the wholesale slaughter of a country's people and who want to be free to live in their own countries without the oppressive foot of Israel over their heads, are not also seeking to overthrow their governments in a communist uprising - they're just not. This statement of Segal's is not only hyperbolic bullshit of the highest order, it's also just bloody embarrassing. .

Next is Segal presuming to analyse the "drivers" or the sources of her alleged rise in antisemitism - this is indeed what all of this is about, is it not? At last Australians will get to see what one of the core drivers is in the alleged rise in 'antisemitism' - namely, Israel's horrific and never-ending attacks on Palestinians and Israel's increasing interference in the democracies of the world and their attempt to dominate and infiltrate our every day discourse. Nope. Not a word. Despite Israel being constantly and conveniently conflated and transposed with Jewishness throughout the report, any mention of Israel the nation state's actions are strangely absent from any alleged drivers of antisemitism. It's as if the revulsion towards Israel's actions and the world's rising antagonism towards Israel has just floated down out of the sky inside a magic bubble, completely disconnected from any actions of Israel itself. Rather, antisemitism's alleged rise is dumped at the feet of 'progressives' and other nasty human rights advocates - the very last people to be identifying with racism of any kind. As usual, Segal has provided no evidence of her claims, no citations, no independent assessment other than her feelpinions and drawing upon a statement ASIO's Mike Burgess made about violent extremists (which was NOT a statement about progressives being responsible for antisemitism) to justify her outrageous claim that it is somehow progressives who are responsible for the hatred and drivers of antisemitism - not Israel itself. .

Here's just one example. Under the heading of Islamic Extremism, Segal claims that AFP Commissioner Krissy Barrett "declared" the statement below. The quote attributed to Krissy Barrett ('Krissy Barrett declared') even has a footnote. As you'll see, citation 3 sends us off to an article in the Australian by Greg Brown on Oct 8, 2026. I read that article and I could not find a direct quote anywhere from Krissy Barrett declaring those words attributed to her. Those words are the words of the journalist, Greg Brown editorialising Ms Barrett. theaustralian.com.au/nation/… The journalist has included a great deal of direct quotes from Ms Barrett in the article, but no quotes of hers that declare, "Islamic fundamentalism would continue to be the biggest terror risk over the next year, and that the local threat from Hamas supporters was not declining." Rather the 'quote' is from the words of the journalist, Greg Brown of the Australian - it is not a direct quote or declaration from the AFP's Krissy Barrett. .

I've been reading through this, which was released today, and let me tell you - it is a hot mess. Jillian Segal (well let's face it, the taxpayer-funded team who work for her) has delivered a line of limited thinking that aims to insert itself into every aspect of Australian life - with no peer review, or any form of independent assessment. We are expected to simply take the Antisemitism Envoy at their word and shut up. As usual, it presents as a wandering discourse of unevidenced claims, taking particular aim at the increasing dissatisfaction with Israel by most of the western world and hiding it within the cloak of 'antisemitism' - a word tossed about freely throughout the document, a word that underwrites the document and all it's radical thought-policing, but a word that they fail to provide with any concrete definition or cohesive meaning. .
