Amazing: journalist does journalism to discover something, and because everyone is so used to people living by press release, they literally can't believe the journalist found it out on their own.

This is the pedestrianisation of a main road as pointless media event. Photos shared, experiences of new normal detailed; until all the boring stuff about displaced traffic and cycling infractions and its shit and we simply must have a swimming pool in the Thames at Blackfriars.

To Western commentators, the elections in Serbia were about restoring democracy, but THEY WERE NOT ABOUT THE EU OR RUSSIA!
“Please can someone tell me whether they are goodies or baddies.”
Replying to @maitlis
What is complicated is the Student list party have ruled OUT sanctions on Russia. And haven’t committed to EU membership . They are predominantly anti corruption and pro democracy. But their foreign policy aims are still unclear …
Big stuff. In Serbia the student-led protest movement wins parliament. bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cw5y…

Sad story this. Adam Khan is such a good architect. And tried hard in an impossible sector.
Stirling Prize finalist sank nearly £140,000 into collapsed practice to keep it going: Adam Khan Architects announced appointment of liquidators on 9 October dlvr.it/TW0h8M #architecture #news
This is to his immense credit. As is the fact that he was a lone voice on the right in Britain for so long. He is though infinitely more valuable as a figure head and symbol than as a thinker or even writer. Perhaps because he was so isolated for so long he spread himself very thinly; a podcast academic avant la lettre. His writing on architecture for example is poor: failing to understand the artistic, economic, social and legal means by which the built environment was formed almost completely.
AI is already here; already happening. This viewpoint surrenders the initiative to those who would use it for grandstanding and intellectual / creative shortcuts. Embrace its powers to do the background stuff so you can get on with the important. No point whining. Get on it.
