We are in our 2026/27 Quarter 1 Top Management Performance Presentation Meeting with Roads and Transport Divisional Heads, focusing on Finance Performance, Management and Administration Support, and strengthening accountability, strategic alignment, and effective service delivery.
This morning we joined the CoGTA Portfolio Committee on an oversight visit to Bronkhorstspruit following reports of contaminated water that affected approximately 480 people.
During the visit, water samples were tested to assess the water quality and determine whether the water is safe for human consumption. The exercise forms part of efforts to establish the extent of the contamination and identify the necessary interventions to protect affected residents.
The safety and well-being of our residents remain paramount. Access to clean and safe drinking water is essential, and the situation requires continued monitoring and appropriate action to safeguard public health.

It gives me great pleasure that we will be formalising his small business and handing over a well structured, complying black owned spaza show on top of the monthly stipend being provided to him already.

Across Board, same situation! They ran down Tshwane and defunded Capex and neglected basic services in selected areas. But slowly we are rebuilding the city and will bring it back to its former glory.
[WATCH] ANC NEC member and former Johannesburg Mayor Cde Parks Tau recalls how, by 2016, the city was investing more than R12 billion a year in infrastructure. Johannesburg had the country’s third-largest subnational infrastructure budget, funded largely through its own revenue and surpluses, with only a third coming from national government. Under his leadership, City Power consistently recorded surpluses.
He says the city’s revenue and infrastructure spending fell after the DA took office, while City Power and other municipal entities weakened amid coalition instability. The audited financial statements, he argues, show how Johannesburg changed. The ANC’s task is to restore a clear vision and the capacity to build the city.
