Engineering leader and instigator. I left this place and only begrudgingly returned for very limited interactions. Mostly just listening.

As a former Texan with deep ties to the state, I'm feeling an awful lot of home state pride today. I've always believed the foundations built by Barbara Jordan and Ann Richards were still going strong. Thank you, Texas!

Elon Musk moving to Texas to get away from Dems, becoming the biggest partisan megadonor in history, then spending around a half-billion dollars to have his own state go blue immediately in the next election — with data centers the top gov issue — is pretty impressive

Returning briefly to announce my latest project. I extracted the core of the Jupyter kernel that lived in Deno so that I could continue using TypeScript without concern for the project. They did the hard work, of course. Bonus: it works with Deno, Node, Bun, Workerd, & Celld.

You can find the project here: cdp-kernel.org/ This is also part of a larger project I have incubating as time permits: ganymede-server.com/. I've replicated Jupyter's core functionality in a small Rust binary.

Coming up (as time permits) is a native iPadOS app that runs this all locally. Heavily inspired by @junoapps.
