Fuck em. Do whatever it takes to be seen. That's how you beat the game.
So we're back to shaming artists for trying to get collectors' attention?
Look, I get it. Shilling your work and jumping through hoops to get noticed isn't exactly ideal.
But instead of pointing fingers at artists, maybe we should ask ourselves WHY they feel the need to do it in the first place.
Not everyone has a big following, wealthy connections, or collectors lining up to buy their work.
Some are simply trying to pay their bills, put food on the table, and keep doing what they love.
And if that means putting themselves and their art out there a little more aggressively than you'd like, is that really such a terrible thing?
It's easy to criticize someone for trying when you're not the one struggling to make ends meet.
Consensus in this space is mostly manufactured.
I love when someone like @osseneth comes along and shake things up a bit. no need to be mad or jealous, let it ride.
Certainly, watching someone actually collect according to taste instead of consensus is refreshing.
I hope this sitcom continues for multiple series
Just sent you an Argonaut. 🫡
Don't count on @CryptoGarga though. For some reason, he only holds one ape. If he sends it, he'll be apeless.
