I’m learning to DJ. I gave Opus 5.5 a set I loved and asked it to break it down.
It made a tool to track the DJ’s hands to see which controls he was touching, then cross-checked it against the audio spectrogram to identify fx, loops, transitions.

The most fucked up part about AI generated artwork in marketing/advertising is that brands have suddenly become cool with sub-par basic layouts and horrendous typography, where as a human resource would've been dragged to hell and back to meet a client's 'expectations'.

Once musicians realize they can prompt things like "140 BPM, F minor, 4-bar bass phrase. Build the rhythm around a half-time kick/snare groove. Keep F as the tonal anchor but use Ab, C, Eb and occasional chromatic approach notes for tension" more musicians will start using AI. The only reason why AI music sounds generic is because most people playing with these models don't know anything about music. It only makes those knowledgeable more capable.
AI music will never catch on for the same reason that math rock bands never became popular, no one wants to see a bunch of machines making music. (A back handed compliment if you will, another thing AI cant do)
If the killer feature of AI music is that it can make an infinite supply of music specifically for me, I’m not sure the problem it solves is a lack of music.
