Migrants consistently have a positive per capita net fiscal contribution compared to natives. Accounting for individual characteristics like age, gender and education the difference decreases, suggesting that migrants' fiscal advantage is partly due to favourable demographics.

Although a similar share of #immigrants and natives in #Europe have a university education, tertiary-educated immigrants have a lower employment probability and are more likely to be overeducated for their job.
