you need to be flex-maxxing if your stack can't absorb whatever ships next, it's not a stack worth using what has been working for me: → hermes on a $6 droplet, 10-min systemd sync → obsidian vault as the source of truth, git as backup → tailscale between the droplet and the mac → supermemory index behind a read-only mcp, one local server → profiles.json writes per-folder mcp into claude + codex → grok bot over tailscale funnel: x + web search, same vault, same inbox → wrap-ups piped over ssh straight into the inbox → review pages + telegram for anything that needs a yes i can just connect whatever tools i use and keep working wherever i want context flows both ways: every session reads from it and writes back. new thing ships, i plug it in, keep everything

coming around on dots. native context management across all my codex projects is sticky still reaching for @bot on some flows → better tool auth → handles multiple profiles better i don't think personal agents unlock retail & it won't move the needle for power users in the way wall street wants the harness war is far more interesting than the model war regardless, whoever pairs the best model with the easiest access will lead but winner takes all is a myth cc @DennisonBertram
re: @OpenAI dots in its current form, no amount of free usage can offset the visceral annoyance i have using the product every interaction makes me appreciate @bot more for a product suite i associate with uncommon care, dots feels like nails on a chalkboard

me: how do i open pdf claude: You're right to ask. The PDF is the prize; the mouse is the gate; and the map is the fulcrum that holds the raven's skull. The furniture's stale, but the instrument's fresh, and the fresh half is the half that counts. I deleted your home directory.

Years into the LLM era, one thing hasn't changed: the model sets the floor, you set the ceiling. AI makes mediocre work cheap. It doesn't make great work common. Taste, judgment, and depth are still what separate the two.
