Last evening I was honored to participate in the launch of the third edition of the #TuskerLiteRwenzoriMarathon which is scheduled for August 24th in Kasese.
I was particularly glad to learn that there is a new route - the 10km race in addition to the 5km, 21km, and 42km races. The courses being certified by World Athletics drums up even more recognition for the Marathon globally.
Like I said, government will work with any person/entity in the private sector whose ventures contribute to growing our tourism industry and this Marathon is doing very much so.
I am happy to be part of this initiative and witnessing it grow with each edition. I commend the work of the organizers, the sponsors and every individual who has participated before and I look forward to yet another successful run. #TuskerliteRwenzoriMarathon.
