Every human being has equal value. Every single one. At the United Nations General Assembly, I challenged a world that still decides whose lives deserve protection and whose suffering can be ignored. No race is superior. No people are disposable. Until we honour that truth, "everywhere is war" remains a warning we have failed to heed. What the world needs now is love, with the courage to confront injustice and defend our shared humanity. Love and a little kindness. For everyone.

On September 7, 2026, Jamaica submitted a petition to His Majesty King Charles III seeking guidance on three key questions: ☑️ Was the enslavement of Africans in Jamaica under British rule lawful? ☑️ Did it violate the international legal principles of the time? ☑️ Does the United Kingdom have a legal obligation to provide reparatory remedies? Yesterday I provided this update during a meeting of the High-Level Global Advisory Council on Reparatory Justice. This process that we have embarked upon is about seeking truth, acknowledgement, justice, repair and reconciliation for historical injustices. Jamaica remains committed to constructive engagement as we continue this important journey.

By the brilliant @ruth_millington on the decline of Birmingham Museum (@BM_AG) 'Where there were once beautifully decorated ceramics by Victorian designer William De Morgan and objects by Morris & Co is now a large photograph of… a piece of bread. Attempts by some to connect the series of horrific anti-Semitic attacks in north London with marches in solidarity with Palestine are false. Our statement on calls for a moratorium on Palestine demonstrations.

🚨Breaking: MPs pass draconian laws restricting repeat protests "Policing by consent is a deeply held British custom. Today the Government has upended that tradition. By empowering police to stop protests on the basis of "cumulative disruption", which can include the impact of totally unconnected events, the government have hollowed out a fundamental right. The police have a ration book for public spaces, and protestors can only hope for coupons. The right to protest is protected under Article 10 of the Human Rights Act. We urge the police to think carefully about their legal obligations, about the role they want to play in British public life, and about ever using this power in practice. We hope the Government will, or a future government, will think again. " - Jack Coulson, Head of Advocacy

🚨THIS WEEK MP’S WILL VOTE ON A BILL TO GIVE POLICE UNPRECEDENTED POWERS TO BAN RECURRING PROTESTS TURNING A FUNDAMENTAL FREEDOM INTO A PRIVILEGE GRANTED BY THE STATE We cannot allow this government to create a society where protest is treated as a privilege granted by the state rather than a right held by the people. The right to protest is precious and must be defended. ITS NOT TOO LATE to stop this shocking and shameful attack on our fundamental right to protest. More than 40 civil society groups including the TUC and Greenpeace have joined forces to oppose this draconian crackdown on our right to freedom of expression and assembly - and you can help too by CONTACTING YOUR MP RIGHT NOW - tag them to this film and and ask them to oppose this

We're on the verge of a genocidal, nuclear war that our supposed "ally" has said he's ready to unleash. Would it be too much to ask for the Prime Minister to have something to say about it? Or do? Suspend US bases now.
Kanye West should never have been invited to headline Wireless. This government stands firmly with the Jewish community, and we will not stop in our fight to confront and defeat the poison of antisemitism. We will always take the action necessary to protect the public and uphold our values.

Stone Age? At a time when you were still in caves searching for fire, we were inscribing human rights on the Cyrus Cylinder. We endured the storm of Alexander and the Mongol invasions and remained; because Iran is not just a country, it is a civilization.

BREAKING: WE WON. The High Court ruled the Palestine Action ban is unlawful as it is disproportionate to free speech and the Home Secretary breached her own policy. The court ordered the ban be quashed. Details of lifting the ban will be decided and completed at a later date.
