The mathematical risk/reward of selling here is horrible.
The emotional risk/reward of selling here could be huge.
Let me explain... /1
it's kinda ironic how this whole ledger debacle is teaching people why banks were invented in the first place
being personally responsible for securing all your savings is actually really annoying and takes so much work, everyone is out to get you and mistakes are easy to make
I remember in 2017 first getting into crypto we did these newbie thought experiments like "is everyone in the future really going to bank from these usb sticks?!"
looks like we got our answer
it also reminds me of one of @hosseeb's contrarian takes years ago where he said "decentralization sucks" and it being a means to an end, not something you want just for the sake of having it - a spectrum where you sacrifice efficiency and convenience to gain censorship resistance and trust minimization, but the key is finding the proper tradeoff for whatever you are trying to build
similarly self-custody sucks, you are basically gaining independence at the cost of personal security and even people who have been doing everything right are dropping like flies (hardware exploits, randomizer bugs, wrench attacks, hacks, etc)
don't make your life depend on it I guess
1) air pollution is still at extremely unhealthy levels, most of the year is spent in 100-250aqi
2) food sourcing is unreliable, you'll often find yourself wondering what kinda harmful ingredients they might have used, specifically talking about cheap oils and chemicals on farms
3) propaganda/education, if you have kids and send them to a chinese school they'll get brainwashed virtually from age 1 and will heist the flag, sing anthems and learn about the almighty Xi dada
even in fully foreign international schools the gov will decide what can and cannot be taught and you'll pay $40k to $60k a year per child in tier1 cities
4) inconsiderateness in every day society can be extremely off-putting, most people are uneducated and a lot of them will be spitting, pushing, skipping queues, shouting on phones, smoking in elevators / restaurants / taxis / near kids etc
it's def not for everyone
I'm confused, all this talk about how zodl is enabling people to hide their wealth, yet it uses regular near intents and not the confidential ones?
If you're using your cex tainted address to purchase shielded zec publicly, how is that any different from buying it on an exchange and shielding it yourself
This reminds me of the 2018 Pomp podcast with @MustStopMurad where he was evangalizing about how anything valuable and proven safe can eventually be added to bitcoin
This is crazy lol I haven’t heard the name Elliot Roe in forever but I was probably one of his first clients back in 2013 when he first started taking a crack at poker people using hypnotherapy
Same story for me I was dealing with anxiety and confidence issues at the table despite a great track record and the very first session he brings me into such a deep state I recalled a memory I forgot I even had
I lost my dad at the beach when I was like 5yrs old with my bicycle and sat down crying until a lady found me and took me to an emergency booth where they announced my name and he arrived after what felt like forever
Again he connects the childhood experience to your emotional state in some stressful competitive situation and attempts to resolve the trauma by understanding it from different perspectives, you gain new insight which you then bring into your mental game
The first few days after a session are some of the most blissful days (and poker sessions) I ever had, but unfortunately its effects wear off after a while
Sounds like he’s doing well, good for him
TraderMayne reveals what really happens after you sell your company
"I made more money selling this company than I ever made trading, and I consider myself having done pretty well trading crypto over these years. My performance coach told me right before the deal closed, you're gonna have probably 48 hours where you're on cloud nine. That's it. I'm like that's it? I'm on my honeymoon in Italy when the wire hit. I showed my wife, signed out, signed back in, signed out again, I was refreshing it, screenshotting it. For 48 hours it was the highest of highs. I don't even think about it anymore. Life just goes on."
"Once you do it you realize it's possible, and you just want to do it again and again. Winners love to win. But it's also frustrating because you learn that there is no end state for people like us. The reason you can't quit is the reason you're able to do what you do today."
seeing lots of bullish takes on ZEC price action from people I follow but I can't agree
htf looks weak and wants to go lower
aiming for $360, no idea about bigger picture
I had no idea TradingView was that big
The websites that Americans most frequently visit.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
According to the study methods (Appendix B) the chart shows time on websites collected by study participants that used a browser extension only on desktops and laptops.
That is not the same as "most frequently visited" and it also doesn't include phone or tablet use.

*literally the most successful consumer product in human history produced and consumed by billions of people across nearly every civilization for 10000 years*
some guy on twitter:
this ethereum chart on the left here is the biggest thing that spooks me from trying to punt bottoms or accumulate below $60k btc
because if it does break down towards $1000 it big picture just looks like it'll drift into a low vol boring sideways grind for many more years, like every tech asset after the dotcom bubble
you might say "but btc is not eth" which is true, but I take it as a sign of where we are in the lifecycle of crypto generally - potentially at the end of the 15 year secular bull that ended with the US president endorsing bitcoin
I've said this a dozen times already but the only reason we are so obsessed with catching knives is because we have been programmed to believe ath's are always just around the corner
if eth fails here I think that time might be over
reconsider a multi year winter
so you're telling me the guy who patched the zcash exploit had the chance to mint a couple billion free zec right before the fix and we're just supposed to assume he didn't
