I am truly heartbroken at the passing of Kai. When Kai was going on his run, my dad asked me what I thought about people saying he was better than me and if it bothered me. I said "He is, and no I want to be his friend".
We are deeply saddened at the news of the passing of Magic legend Kai Budde. His achievements in the game and community go beyond what we could say in one post. Our thoughts go out to Kai's friends and family in this moment. Remembering Kai Budde: magic.wizards.com/en/news/an…

Amazing analysis. Research findings have been plagued by this type of media mischaracterization for decades. Nice to see someone check the math.
"95% of companies see zero ROI from AI" You've seen this stat everywhere. Fortune. The Economist. FT. Board meetings. VC decks. It's attributed to "MIT research" so it must be valid, right? I spent months trying to verify it. Here's what I found 🧵 exponentialview.co/p/how-95-…

This is even more impressive when you know that S3 processes over 100,000,000 requests per second. Light travels less than 10 feet in the time between requests arriving at S3.
On 1 Dec 2020, AWS S3 announced that all writes to S3 are now strongly consistent (not eventually consistent, like before) *at no price change or latency changes* to any customers. Pulling this off was probably one of the biggest invisible engineering achievements of the decade

We're excited to see the Linux Foundation establish the Agentic AI Foundation, providing a neutral home for the Model Context Protocol as it becomes critical infrastructure for the AI community. Placing MCP in a vendor-neutral foundation ensures developers can invest confidently in this universal standard, knowing it will remain open, interoperable, and community-driven. We look forward to continuing our contributions to the MCP project alongside @AnthropicAI to unlock new possibilities for agentic AI applications and our customers. linuxfoundation.org/press/li…

Honestly this Kiro output is pretty good. I'm convinced! Now I just need my wife or sister to explain step functions to me.

👀 wow I wonder who joined the re:Invent leadership team this year and made sure there would be the crossover event of the century (huge thanks to the events team for making this happen!) #AWS #MagicTheGathering
