First shut out on the road since 22nd Feb 2025 (Bristol Pitbulls 11-0 win, the only away shut out that season) and just our second shut out at Sheffield Steeldogs, the other was a 5-0 win 23rd Jan 2011. ⚡️

🚨4 Point weekend 🚨 Lightning win. 0-3 A first shut out for Whale 🥅 on the road in Sheffield. The Barmy army were in fine voice, the extra man on the ice. Safe travels home everyone.

Here's a weird Luton stat for you. This is the highest we have been at the end of any gameweek since we've been back in League One! #LTFC

MKL 10-3 Phantoms. Lightnings biggest league win against Peterborough was all but guaranteed after an incredible first 2 periods. 10 is also the most goals we have scored in a game vs the Phantoms, equalling the playoff game in 2002-03 (10-0, 12th April 2003).

Brilliant result but haven't felt like this since the second half of that match against Hayes & Yeading 😂😂 #MKL

On this day in 2008 the Luton vs Bournemouth match was abandoned after 7 minutes due to bad weather conditions. Most of that time was taken up by the officials as they were deciding whether to call the match off or not

Luton have played 14 Tuesday & Wednesday home matches since the start of the 2025-26 season (league & cup) and have won 13 of them. The 1 match we didn't win was the 1-2 defeat to Swindon in the Trophy, which subsequently saw the visitors expelled from the competition!

Yugoslav map of Britain & Ireland from the 1980s, with English place names amusingly rendered phonetically to reflect their pronunciation. Credit: Reddit user TheKingMonkey who explains the maps origins: "From a display on the wall of the ‘Museum of the 80s’ in Sarajevo, Bosnia. I’m not sure why I like the Serbo-Croat (or at least that’s what I assume it is) names for the cities as they look like they are almost phonetic attempts at English language pronunciations." MKL 12-1 Pitbulls. A dominant display from start to finish from Lightning, with 8 different players getting on the scoresheet. It’s only the 2nd time MKL have won 12-1, the other was at home to Romford Raiders back in 2009 ⚡️

Luton 2-1 Leicester. Enjoyable game, helped by playing football in the opponents half rather than in front of our own goal. Talking of which our 1st goal came from the Foxes doing exactly that. Controversial decisions went our way, and a injury time winner gave us a deserved win

MKL 3-1 Seahawks. In a battle of the top two it was Lightning that came out on top. Both teams will think they should have scored more and would have if it wasn’t for two inspired goalies but it was the team that should have scored more that did. Great game ⚡️

That is what we are, a mid table league one side. Some weeks we’ll be good, some weeks average, some weeks poor. The galling thing is we’ve turned a top 6 championship side into a mid table league one team - whilst spending more money than we ever have in our history.
