a lot of people that don't care about you can recognise what you are and what you need without you saying shit. you're likely to get attached to those people, but that is not the evidence of care.

it's very understandable to want someone to notice your needs without you saying anything, or even with you saying the opposite, but you can't really be annoyed if they take your word for it. that doesn't mean they don't care about you. those are two separate things.

one thing I've learnt about coaching is that you need to let your team challenge you. in fact, you have to encourage it, because if they don't agree with the style of play then the execution will always be suboptimal no matter what. you need to convince them that it is the best.
