It would be pure malfeasance to deal Woo imo
The #SFGiants have the system to swing some trades. They need a lefty and Deitmers could very well be one of the best available. Bryan Woo is a Bay Area kid and you’re probably buying low.

Very happy this is a universal take. The radio broadcast rocks in every way. Pure baseball
Could not disagree more with this I love switching over to the radio like 30-40% of the season honestly.

Feels like we’re headed towards Kantzler as Mariners manager. Not letting him hire his own staff gives you a good indication the FO is taking the wheel

I’m not saying he’s a puppet hire but the puppet allegations are flying

Wow, hitting coach gets hired before the manager. Things are looking odd, but progressing.

I've been refreshing all day, it feels like its bound to happen... Even if a hire is completed, can we not wait until Monday?
Are the Mariners going to Friday news dump the most important managerial hire in franchise history?

We took Kyle for granted. Retired at 33 and I’d kill for one more season of Seags
🚨BREAKING NEWS🚨 WE HAVE OUR 100TH MEMBER! Kyle Seager received 97% of 41,500 votes and is now officially the 100th Hall of Pretty Good inductee. Seager, who was born on November 3rd, 1987, in California, was drafted by the Seattle Mariners in the 3rd round of the 2009 MLB Draft after a successful college career at UNC, where he was a semifinalist for the Golden Spikes Award. Seager would have a quick rise through the minor leagues and make his MLB debut on July 6th, 2011. This would jumpstart one of the most consistent and underrated careers in recent memory. Seager would be a beacon of durability, only heading to the injured list once in his 11-year career. From 2012-2019, Seager always managed to hit at least 20 home runs in a season, a streak that was only stopped by the limited 60-game season in 2020. Had the season been played in full, he was on pace to reach 24 long balls, keeping pace with his consistent production. Seager was a one-time All-Star and a one-time Gold Glove Award winner. He also received MVP votes in two different seasons (2014 and 2016). One of the most memorable things about Kyle Seager’s career was his notable final season, which saw him set career highs in home runs (35) and RBIs (101). After that power surge in 2021, he decided to hang up the cleats at the age of 33. Kyle Seager is regarded as one of the best players in Mariners history, having been included on the team’s list of 50 best players to celebrate the Mariners’ 50th anniversary. At the time of his induction, Seager ranks 4th in games played in franchise history, 4th in hits, 4th in home runs, 3rd in doubles, and 4th in RBIs. Seager grew up a Yankees fan and loved Derek Jeter. While Jeter received 97.75% of the Hall of Fame votes a few years ago, getting 97% of over 40,000 fan votes to become the 100th HoPG inductee sounds pretty good to me. Congratulations to Mariners legend Kyle Seager!

I may be completely wrong but genuinely think the combination of this team/city/manager might be the least hateable Champions in quite some time.
The Brewers are so good fans are gonna hate them three years from now

He’s so Mariners coded I fear
Per @FrancysRomero, the Orioles are expected to decline Luis Robert Jr.'s $20M club option for 2027. Baltimore would pay a $2M buyout, and Robert would hit free agency at 29. Robert hit .223 with 10 HR and a .702 OPS in 58 games with the Mets in 2026 before Baltimore claimed him off waivers on Aug. 31. A right-handed center field bat could be leaving an AL East rival and heading to the open market. #Birdland #LGM

Crazy to think the Dodgers while giving up this haul aren’t favorites to retain Skubal. ➡️ BA's No. 55 prospect ➡️ Dodgers' No. 9 prospect ➡️ Dodgers' No. 27 prospect
Early Favorites to land Tarik Skubal, via Kalshi: 24% — Mets 20% — Dodgers 9% — Not signed before March 25, 2027 8% — Yankees 5% — Cubs 4% — Tigers, Padres, Blue Jays 3% — White Sox, Astros, Angels, Phillies 2% — Braves, Orioles, Giants, Rangers

Sub .600 OPS, but has some cool tools.
We have claimed OF Grant McCray off waivers from the San Francisco Giants. Grant has been added to our 40-man roster. 🔗 atmlb.com/4yTASyu

Good news for the M’s.
Zero surprise, but struggling Astros starter Tatsuya Imai will exercise his $18 million player option and return to the Astros, as @JonHeyman said.

Untrue, Bryce is still under contract. Robles will be a FA.
The Seattle Mariners exercise closer Andres Munoz's $9 million option, but decline the options of starter Bryce Miller and outfielder Victor Robles, making them free agents beginning Monday.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Despite having his option declined, Bryce Miller is only arbitration eligible and will not become a free agent until after the 2029 season. x.com/A_Jude/status/…

Bryce gets to be dragged through arbitration now, but we knew the M's weren't giving him $6M+ Assume he probably gets around $4M in arb.
Roster updates: 🔹 Andrés Muñoz, RHP, club option for 2027 exercised by club. 🔹 Bryce Miller, RHP, club option for 2027 declined by club. 🔹 Victor Robles, OF, club option for 2027 declined by club. Miller remains under club control. Robles is now a free agent. The @Mariners 40-man roster is now at 34 players. Read: atmlb.com/4A5dSxy
