I bet they didn't even make up that stupid name. "SI compute campus" sounds like an AI generated tortured phrase for "AI data centre."
This is just embarrassing. bit.ly/47Sw1T9

Apple putting all the destroyed buildings back in Gaza on Maps isn’t just wrong to do because it’s an inaccurate depiction, it’s terrifying. If a company with as much notoriety and influence as Apple wants to whitewash a genocide, what’s next? Shame on you, Apple.

Beff Jezos has really been cracking me up lately. A foreigner, his message is:
It's anti-American not to vote for candidates who support the twice-impeached, anti-science, convicted felon sexual predator who protects pedophiles and tried to overthrow the US government.
So dumb.
Anyone who trusts tech CEOs with our children's education is a gullible idiot and not qualified to lead education. Nothing good has come from having them meddle with it. They should tell Gates to shove it.
“The tech industry wants us to believe that AI-powered early education is not only inevitable, but necessary.* We do not see it that way.”

Trump will do everything he can to fight any losses.
You know he's not peaceful.
Buckle up.
The Trump bullshit has started. Trump-loyal DOJ has released a list of polling locations where it has sent “monitors” for today’s midterms.
An almost perfect overlap with Democratic-leaning counties and/or those with significant nonwhite populations.

NEW: Trump says he might preemptively pardon Elon Musk if Democrats win Congress and investigate his government work and federal contracts. “We’ll have to protect them,” he said. Folks, the election hasn’t even happened, and he’s already talking about pardons for his billionaire ally. Apparently, “drain the swamp” comes with an escape hatch for the people closest to him.

Several figures here aren’t federal results or NY-specific. The $472B combines US wide pledges: Micron's $250B is nationwide (NY site $100B) Anthropic's $50B covers TX and NY. The 48% murder drop is from NY's state run GIVE program (28 departments, Jan – May 2026).

We’re not taking this NEARLY seriously enough.
"Musk has spent $474 million to help Trump and the GOP win the midterms. For everyday Americans, it’s the equivalent of buying a few IMAX tickets or a DoorDash dinner for two."
This is the number 1 problem with billionaires. Not just the unfairness, the wealth inequality, the often unscrupulous ways in which many of them acquire their billions, but the fact that they are a threat to our democracy. That you can't have one person-one vote while billionaires are buying our politicians.

Raskin: We now have the first-person accounts of five different women saying that they were sexually assaulted by Trump. And then we have another six women, for a total of 11, who link him to the whole network of sex trafficking of Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell.

The U.S. Air Force is carrying out new airstrikes against Iranian surface-to-air missile launchers on Qeshm Island in the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier, repeated air defence activity was reported from the island, with the IRGC claiming that two U.S. MQM-170 and one MQ-9 "Reaper" drones were shot down. American airstrikes are probably targeting the same surface-to-air missile launchers used to target these drones.
Air defence activity is also reported at Omidiyeh Airbase in southwestern Iran.

The hate directed towards @cohere is unjustified. I cannot stress the importance of sovereign ai. Canada has exported enough intelligence powering the state of the art already, and need to invest capital to play catch up.
As someone who works in data, we all understand how valuable data artifacts and production traces are in improving model capabilities, and Canadian’s are providing this for free to the frontier models. This is particularly concerning for the government and defense sector.
Excited to see what comes next from the team!

Canada and US should act now to protect food refrigeration systems from similar attacks. The perpetrators remain unidentified; state sponsored hackers cannot be ruled out. These incidents show how compromised refrigeration can disrupt food supplies; a longer attack would cause far greater losses.
