Since yesterday, you and your entire political ecosystem, including senior Cabinet ministers and chief Ministers of several states have gone into overdrive, celebrating what you believe is the INDIA bloc’s defeat even on ballot papers.
The celebrations seem rather premature, but they have given us an idea. Let us take your argument to its logical conclusion. Let us set aside every other disagreement and collectively agree to return to ballot papers for all elections. You seem convinced of the outcome. We are convinced of the importance of electoral transparency and public trust.
So, why not turn this moment of celebration into a moment of democratic consensus?
Let us all come together and bring back the ballot paper. Surely, a government so confident of its popularity should have nothing to fear.
