The National Citizens Inquiry of Canada needs to get involved in this one. It's a citizen-led citizen-funded initiative where people can go on the public record in order to bring government to account.

Mark wanted to visit Vancouver Island yesterday, so he flew his private jet to Nanaimo before flying back to Ottawa. The flight time from Vancouver to Nanaimo is 16 minutes. The total fuel burned for this trip was 6,800L, and the total carbon emissions were 172,000kg.
