Most teams still treat a “no match” on a euro payout like a speed bump. It isn’t. Since October 2025, Verification of Payee runs on SEPA transfers. You can send after the warning. If the money lands on the wrong IBAN, that click is yours. Invoice fraud was built on exactly this gap: the email looks right, the account name doesn’t, and the argument starts after the wire. If you approve payouts into Europe — does the person hitting send treat “close match” as a decision, or as fine print?

Every English headline says Brazil banned stablecoins. It didn't. Resolution 561 takes effect 1 October. What closes is one function: settling eFX with a counterparty abroad — including at the treasury layer, which nobody is reporting. Full breakdown:

You can't compare two cross-border providers on their pricing pages. Not because you aren't trying — because they price different things. One quotes the FX spread. One quotes a flat fee. One says contact sales. How do you actually compare them? Genuinely asking.

Your bank flags that the name doesn't match the IBAN. You send anyway. That click is where the risk moves from the bank to you. Verification of Payee has been mandatory for euro-area banks since 9 October 2025. "Close match" is not an all-clear.

A familiar invoice-fraud setup: a convincing email changes your supplier's bank details, and the name on the account stops matching. VoP warns you. It doesn't stop you. If details changed, confirm through a contact you already had — not the one in that email.

The pattern here: the check that matters happens before you confirm, not in the reconciliation afterwards. That's how we build payouts — route, rate and fee shown before money moves. If you pay suppliers in euros: has your provider shown you a name-match result yet?

The stablecoin sandwich has an assumption nobody says out loud: the sender already has a bank account. Fiat in, stablecoin across, fiat out. Faster than correspondent banking, no question. But the first slice of bread has to come from somewhere.

What does a NASA scientist have to do with the future of onchain finance? Find out on the new episode of Crypto Clarified hosted by @Vinhonchain and @DSilenskyteWT where they discuss @AmirOnchain's journey from scientist to founder of @Puffer_Finance
A NASA scientist who worked on Mars rover data looked at Ethereum and said "this is broken." You used to need $100K to help secure Ethereum. Now you need $1,000. @DSilenskyteWT and I sat down with @AmirOnchain, the ex-NASA/JPL scientist turned @puffer_finance founder making Ethereum staking 32x cheaper, and faster than a bank transfer. 🧵 Full breakdown below 👇 0:00 – Intro 1:07 – Amir's Path: NASA to Puffer Labs 3:54 – Why Crypto: Owning Your Own Money 4:53 – Proof of Work to Proof of Stake 7:01 – Centralization Risks & Validator Diversity 11:25 – What Validators Actually Do 16:57 – Restaking Explained 21:51 – Liquid Restaking: Access for Everyone 32:46 – Puffer Unifi: Solving Liquidity Fragmentation 35:44 – Trust & Institutional Adoption

Every company has one employee who turns up, does nothing all day, and never gets a performance review. It's your cash. $410,000 in a checking account earns exactly nothing. The same money in Treasury earns about $73 — 6.5% today. We built Echlon Treasury so that idle cash has somewhere to go Put it to work or don't. But stop calling it busy. #tryechlon

What's the worst fee you've eaten sending money to a supplier abroad? We'll go first: watched a client get quoted $340 on a $9,000 wire. We did it for a fraction of that.

Marketplaces: paying out 500 sellers shouldn't mean 500 manual transfers. We built mass payouts so it's one click instead.

“Low fee” cross-border payments can still get expensive fast. Show the worst FX markup you’ve eaten on a vendor payout. Bonus points if the fee looked cheap until the final amount arrived. #tryechlon

More companies are offering payments as an extra benefit now. That can be useful — but it’s worth being careful. For the provider, payments may be an add-on. For your business, it becomes cash flow, vendor trust, customer experience, and operational continuity. A “bonus feature” can quickly become critical infrastructure.
