Clarification on Indefinite Leave to Remain statistics:
As part of announcing a package of policies on Indefinite Leave to Remain, Reform UK have alluded to research published by the Centre for Policy Studies in February of this year. Part of the research calculated a ballpark figure for the financial cost of the hundreds of thousands of migrants who will soon be eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR).
After the CPS’ report was published, the Office for Budget Responsibility revised their definitions of some of the fiscal data contained within our report, meaning that the overall cost estimates should no longer be used. The CPS has been in communication with the OBR and other experts for clarity and will be publishing an updated estimate in due course.
The changes do not impact our analysis of the visa data or projections for the numbers likely to gain ILR on different visa routes.

ALT A comparison of crowd size between 2017 (left) and 2025 (right) US president inauguration. The ceremony in 2025 is moved indoors due to cold temperature and therefore fewer people can be seen standing outside White House.

Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The inauguration was moved indoors to the Capital Rotunda so there was nothing to see on the mall. The official reason was the extreme cold weather. Commentators also speculated that there were credible threats to the safety of the President and Vice-President elect.

I can't find any non-Korean news agency picking up information about Jeju Air Flight 2216 allegedly had the landing gear extended during the first landing attempt.
@SBS8news also reported a fisherman witnessed the crash and said he could clearly see the wheels were down.

Spectators unfamiliar with Korean politics generally don't know why flags like this are common in protests.
I was told SK gov't always claims protests are controlled and manipulated by massive organisations, so they create their own confederations to show that is not the case. – at London, England

I was refused because the government planned to publish the data in future, and today is the day. These numbers are in millions

Here we have it...the final Olympic medal table if Yorkshire was a country! 👏🥇
It's been quite the games and although this table is just a bit of fun, we're all extremely proud of our Olympians! ❤️

Incredible how the @Telegraph is denouncing the efforts of a splendid female athlete who has endured weeks of online attacks, while pushing a rhetoric originated from an organisation whose dubious legitimacy is never challenged by the newspaper, as long as it suits the narrative.
