When the topic is autistic women getting to a point where they reach literal rock bottom with their mental health and have years of their life wasted due to an entire childhood, teenage years and beyond undiagnosed, not supported, not seen, misunderstood, misdiagnosed, due to not recognised or researched enough autism in girls/women, so I have to leave the room cos that's a lil too sensitive for me.

If a friend with ADHD shares a similar experience after you tell yours, they aren't trying to steal the spotlight. It is their way of saying "i hear you. i trust you. me too." In our world, interrupting isn't rude; it is the deepest form of connection we can offer.
