I’m a Zack Snyder fan. I like a lot of his DC work. I’ve defended him plenty. But holy shit, some of the “Restore the Snyderverse” / “Sell the Snyderverse to Netflix” crowd has completely lost the plot. Look at this. They’ve got an actual RULEBOOK for how to post, how to reply, what words to use, who to engage with, who to ignore, what profile pictures to change, how to game the algorithm, and how to frame James Gunn fans so they look toxic. There are more rules here than fucking Fight Club. And then they wonder why people call this cultish. This isn’t fandom anymore. This is coordinated narrative management around a movie universe that, whether people like it or not, is over. Skydance is not your daddy. David Ellison is not coming in to magically restore Zack Snyder’s DC franchise. Netflix is not sitting there waiting to buy the Snyderverse like it’s some abandoned storage unit. And honestly, this isn’t even just a Snyder fan problem. Gunn fans do the same tribal bullshit. DC fandom as a whole has gotten so wrapped up in “winning” that people barely talk about the movies anymore. They talk about sides. That’s the part that sucks. You can love Snyder. You can love Gunn. But if your fandom needs a 12-step propaganda manual, maybe the plot got lost somewhere along the way.
