Web Awesome is one of the rare solution that works with HTML only project. Definitely recommending it.
Look awesome, even without components. <button class="wa-brand">Save</button> <input type="text"> <table>…</table> <dialog>…</dialog> Native Styles make the HTML you already write look like you meant it.

True. Last autumn, I worked for ~3 months on a Go project with HTML and SQL written as plain strings and without any tests. It was a prototype, just for me, so I didn't mind doing it this way. I was reviewing every code change and there never was an issue with HTML or SQL. /!\ Not saying in large projects that there should be no safety nets but agents are pretty good.
Same for formatters and many linters really

Just noticed Goose has now a website aardappel.github.io/goose/in…

I never thought I would benchmark documentation and error messages

I spent the afternoon reading Zig's documentation. It's a really well-thought-out language and being able to cross-compile is very nice. Reminds me of Go in some aspects.

I’m building a dev tool that will be consumed by agents. Currently working on file formats, output and error messages. Benchmarking and tweaking these with a coding agent led to way fewer errors, tool calls and tokens for the agents using it.

I really enjoy reading about niche languages. Each one makes different trade-offs to solve problems. Lately I’ve been reading about Goose, Fai, Nimony (Nim 3), Zig, Elixir, Gleam…

I’m probably going to switch one of my projects to TS 7.1 content mapper. The DX is just too good.

I hate when the only thing blocking the release of a tool is finding a decent name. How did you find your project's name?

`using` is quite nice: it cleans up a resource automatically when it goes out of scope

I enabled /voice and I almost not use my keyboard anymore. Too bad, I just bought a new split keyboard that should arrive in late November 🥲

CSS-in-JS, CSS Modules and <name undecided> (working on it, pretty happy with the results so far). Just not sure if it should be written in TS or Rust 🤔

One of the hardest parts with AI coding is avoiding feature creep and knowing when to stop. Adding just a little more is too easy.

OSS or side projects are often an excuse to play with new tech. JSON Server v2 (skipping v1 🗑️) is my excuse to finally use: - @honojs - Node's built-in SQLite (json-server db.sqlite | db.json) - HTTP's new QUERY method Bonus: if your Hono app already uses SQLite, you'll be able to mount a REST API on top of it in seconds. This version should also be closer to something you can use in prod. Not released yet.

Getting back to posting online. It feels weird after such a long silence (I was still reading). This period felt like a tunnel. A very happy one (new baby). Sorry to anyone whose messages I left unanswered 🙇🏻‍♂️ I’d have loved to stay in touch, I just didn’t have the time.
