UNFPAが昨年から今年にかけて73カ国の18-39歳人口を対象にパートナーシップと家族形成に関する調査をしたみたいで、ハイライト見るだけでも今後の研究への示唆が多そうだなと思います
今週は3つのワークショップでそれぞれ違う論文を報告する予定、今日は2つ目（人口学）。今進めている熟年離婚に関する論文。本当にたくさん、いいコメントをもらえて、プリンストンまで来てよかった。報告途中でも前のめりで聞いて、質問してくれるのが嬉しい。見知った人たちばかりで、色々とスムーズ
Today I presented my ongoing work on gray divorce in Japan at Princeton’s demography workshop. I received so many insightful questions and comments that really made my day.
I feel so fortunate to have done my PhD here and to continue working with so many wonderful colleagues.

仕事終わりの若干疲れた頭で自分の新書読み始めたら、全然中身入ってこなかった笑
最近ありがちな、いろんなことがたくさん書いてある、文献レビュー系新書。学部生の卒論の下調べくらいにはなりそう。あとこの内容で1200円は割とお得だと思います。
バークリーなどカリフォルニア大学のキャンパスでは、州内の学部生でも授業料や寮費込みで5万ドル以上かかるようになっているらしい。家賃高騰が理由とのこと。

今回はプリンストン神学校が運営する簡素な宿泊施設に宿泊。朝出る時、明らかにやる気に満ちた集団がいて、おそらく学会だと思ったので聞いてみると、「チャーチファイナンス」の集まりだった。「チャーチ」と「ファイナンス」は縁遠い言葉に思えるけど、アメリカらしい。朝井リョウの小説を思い出す。
サウジアラビアでの開催が微妙になってるアジア杯、あまり他人事には思えなくて、よく行く国際学会が4月にアブダビで開催される。一応予定通り開催ということにはなっているけれど、周りに聞く感じ、乗り気の人はみかけない…

今日は昔住んでたアパートの近くを走った。コロナ禍の時に住んでて、当時は家で研究した後、夕方に走っていた。マスクつけながら走ったりしていた時代。
結局、こういうことがしたくて帰ってきたのかもしれない。Demographyの単著論文の査読修正をしていたのもこの頃で、一番研究に集中できていた。
