Unfortunately the UKPHN will be closing this December 2022. We have achieved a significant amount since our establishment in 2014. We hope that the public health system will continue to work together to take forward important agendas and the system-wide conversations continue.

The public health grant for England has been cut by 24% in real terms per person since 2015-16, with cuts disproportionately falling on deprived areas. If the UK government cares at all about improving health, it must restore funding, says @MaggieRae20 bmj.com/content/379/bmj.o270…

Great to be involved, lots of useful discussion. Thanks for organising
This morning we hosted a policy discussion with stakeholders about the challenges the #publichealthworkforce face and how we can collectively support them. We had a great debate, so watch this space for more outputs and ways to be involved in this conversation.

This is very concerning news for the public health community. Good health is central to economic growth and we need a clear commitment from Government to prioritise health inequalities and deliver the white paper as planned.
The #InequalitiesInHealthAlliance is concerned to hear reports that plans to publish the Health Disparities White Paper may have been scrapped – we're urging @theresecoffey to maintain the commitment because #EverythingAffectsHealth. Read our letter here: ow.ly/Y86J50KX7fo
