Amy Acton's stepfather's surviving biological daughter spoke to The Daily Mail when they knocked on her door in Ohio, while sobbing.
She said: She believed Amy's story, because her father raped her sister more than once (the victim in this 1974 indictment); she remembered Amy lived in a tent with Donna and Cledith; it's been terrible for her family to see Vivek's ad run in Ohio; and she heard rumors her father had victimized even more young girls.
NEW: I obtained the full Trumbull County file for Amy Acton's stepfather's 1974 charge which shows that he was indicted for incest involving his 16-year-old biological daughter in 1973. The sheriff was then unable to locate him to serve him a summons in the county and nothing further happened in the case.
Donna Arthur, featured in Vivek Ramaswamy's still-running campaign ad, married Cledith the next year in a neighboring county.

This is incredibly misleading. There was no conviction because Amy Acton's stepfather was never tried. He was arrested for raping 12-year-old Amy, charged, INDICTED BY A GRAND JURY, and then disappeared while the case was pending. A judge issued a warrant for his arrest. These are court records, not Amy Acton's recollections 50 years later.
And Amy didn't simply "reject" her mother. She was TWELVE. She and her brother were removed from their mother's custody. Her brother backs Amy's account today.
Her mother stayed with the man who had been indicted for raping her 12-year-old daughter. Amy hasn't had a relationship with her mother since 1978. So how exactly would this woman know that the adult Amy Acton is a "pathological liar"? She hasn't known her for nearly 50 years.
And saying "there was no conviction" while leaving out the indictment and the fact that he disappeared before he could be tried isn't an argument. It's an omission.
Democrats are desperately trying to make you believe this ad is bad because it is SO GOOD.
Amy Acton's mother, Donna Arthur, worked as an advocate for abused women and children (with Youngstown Children and Family Services) after being physically abused (including being beaten while 7 months pregnant) by Amy's biological father, Jerry Stearns.
When Donna remarried in the 70's, Amy and her brother rejected their mother and sided with Jerry...despite watching their mother spend much of her career advocating against victims of abuse.
According to Donna, Amy Acton made rap false allegations against her new husband.
No allegations can be confirmed as fact, and there is NO record of any conviction against Amy Acton's stepfather. It seems we have two liars, accusing each other of being pathological liars… who knew!

This is the Republican Party. This is MAGA. They continually call themselves "pro-life" and "pro-family," but those are just empty bumper-sticker slogans, which attempt to mask their true thoughts and feelings on life and family. You can't be "pro-life," if you only support life before birth. You can't be "pro-family," if you enable/defend a stepfather raping his 12-year-old stepdaughter.
Amy Acton is a survivor. She possesses an incredible amount of empathy. She actually cares about people. J.D. Vance, Vivek Ramaswamy, and the rest of MAGA only care about themselves and possessing the power to control others. Let's control their electoral fate by voting out Ramaswamy and other MAGAts on November 3rd.
