Running a small dev business in the Maldives:
You keep their website running, manage the hosting, fix issues before they even notice. Then a payment fails, the system shows “subscription expired,” and suddenly the system is “not user friendly, find a new dev.”
One client even left with 65K+ pending, found a new dev, and then asked us to help migrate to the new system.

ޤަތުލުޢާންމުގެ ކުށް ހުއްޓުވުމާއި އަދަބު ދިނުމާބެހޭ ބައިނަލްއަޤްވާމީ މުޢާހަދާ (ޖެނޮސައިޑް ކޮންވެންޝަން) ގައި ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއިން ބައިވެރިވެފައިވަނީ 24 އެޕްރީލް 1984 ގައި. އެ މުޢާހަދާގެ 5 ވަނަ މާއްދާގައި، އެ މުޢާހަދާއަށް ޢަމަލުކުރުމަށްޓަކައި އެ މުޢާހަދާގައި ބައިވެރިވެފައިވާ ޤައުމުތަކުން ހަދަންޖެހޭ ޤާނޫނުތައް ހެދުމާއި، ޖެނޮސައިޑްއާ ގުޅޭ ކުށްތަކަށް ޤާނޫނުގެ ދަށުން އަދަބު ކަނޑައެޅުން ލާޒިމްކޮށްފައިވޭ. ނަމަވެސް، އޭގެ ފަހުން 42 އަހަރު ވެގެން ދިޔައިރުވެސް ދިވެހިރާއްޖެއިން މި ޒިންމާ އަދާކޮށްފައެއްނުވޭ.

I made a sticky notes app where when you are done with a note you can crumple it up and throw it away into a bin
Well that's not the only feature (although throwing your notes is fun every time):
- It has a MacOS App with iCloud Sync
- Uses foundational models to auto categorize your notes based on content

Ah yes, Section 10.22 is the exact clause this government conveniently amended to bypass competitive bidding, remove financial safeguards, and hand out mega-projects without scrutiny. They’ve been building up to this 'unsolicited' under-the-table deal since Day 1.
Housing Minister Dr. Abdulla Muththalib has explained that the "Maldives Waterfront & Marina" project in Rasmale’ was awarded to the UAE's Eagle Hills as an unsolicited Private Sector Initiated Proposal (PSIP).
In an official response to MP Mohamed Ibrahim (Kudu), who submitted 20 specific inquiries regarding the project's framework, the Minister explained:
🔹 The arrangement was executed under Section 10.22 (c) of the Public Finance Regulation.
🔹 The provision permits the government to partner on major developments initiated directly by private sector investors.
