In 2002 JVP challenged the integrity of the B1G refs, presented evidence of bias but was warned if he said it again he'd be fined.
He said it again.
The league then asked what he wanted because they couldn't have him keep pointing out the truth.
He wanted replay and was angling to box them in and had. They agreed if he backed off, paid a $50K fine and wrote letters to the refs.
He agreed, and in 2003 we got replay.
Because of Michigan and what everyone in the league knew were "Rose Bowl Calls" to protect the bastards.

But my family has been parked inside The Joseph V. and Suzanne P. Paterno Women and Children's Services Unit at Mount Nittany for the past 3 days & I couldn’t ask for better care and provision.
Penn State has announced it is opening the Paterno Family Football Experience Room, a "permanent museum experience" to celebrate Penn State's football history.
