ALT LEVEL 1 Meetings with coworkers and volunteers show the owner was offered a task force to replace her labor so she could step back/gain stability. The overall goal of this team was to ensure at least two more days off for the owner. The one-unmasked-night-a-week idea was originally (repeatedly) met with grace. Daily maskers even urged ownership to drop the mandate so the bar and person at the center of it could focus on stability even more so
ALT LEVEL 2 The bar was served an eviction notice before the viral meeting and still hasn't been transparent about this while receiving new support. JM does not she hold majority financial liability for the bar. It is still legally shared with Sage, the previously involved owner.
ALT LEVEL 3 The unmasked club nights have been largely unsuccessful/ unsupported. Sales show they perform much weaker than mask required nights. Previous volunteers and workers suggested more grace with the transition and repeatedly forewarned ownership of the communal disruption that would be caused during multiple meetings. Volunteers and workers offered ways to prepare for the rising tide of ableism/facism and how it would tie into this decision during multiple meetings before the 22nd. Suggestions to get the owner stable housing and mental health resources were placated or dismissed repeatedly, despite desperation from all close parties to help the owner and venue.
ALT LEVEL 4 As a previous (alleged) employee, over 85% of the times I asked for a paycheck the owner would talk about killing herself while writing said check. During tense moments, I realized she would also constantly talk about the other owner, still in communal vicinity to the bar, killing themselves too.
