The Technical Committee on Youth held a long-awaited event today, bringing together young people from across the island and 13 experts representing a diverse range of fields, including economy and business, architecture and engineering, environment, health, law and diplomacy. The event was honoured by the presence of the Personal Envoy of the @UN Secretary-General, María Ángela Holguín.
Through the sharing of experiences, insights and practical advice, the evening became a valuable opportunity for mentorship, collaboration, inspiration and meaningful connections across communities and professional sectors. #UNCyprusTalks

Today, SRSG @HannaTetteh met with Presidential Council Vice President Abdullah Al-Lafi to discuss recent political, security and economic developments. Discussions focused on progress on the UNSMIL-facilitated roadmap, the Smaller Convening discussions.
The discussions also extended to the status of the Smaller Convening agreement and the necessity for the parties to ensure the full implementation of its provisions including its endorsement by the relevant institutions. Vice President Al-Lafi expressed support for UNSMIL’s efforts to advance a Libyan-led and Libyan-owned political process.
The two also discussed economic issues particularly the recent changes in the CBL leadership, underscoring the importance of sound governance, effective oversight and economic discipline to maintain confidence in Libya’s monetary and financial institutions and safeguard economic stability for the benefit of the Libyan people.
